ANSI A3 Cut Resistant Ergodyne Gray ProFlex PU Coated Work Gloves
EDITORIAL REVIEW: 4.5/5 — WC Safety Review of the Ergodyne ProFlex 7030, an A3 PU glove that keeps the feel.
Editorial assessment by Steven Eaton, WC Safety editor, based on published Ergodyne specifications and category fit. We did not laboratory-test this product.

The Ergodyne ProFlex 7030 is an ANSI/ISEA 105 A3 PU-coated cut-resistant glove on a 13-gauge shell, sitting between the lighter A2 7025 and heavier nitrile options — more cut protection than the 7025 while keeping the thin PU coating's tactile advantage. It suits assembly, light fabrication, and precision handling on dry surfaces.

Why the Ergodyne ProFlex 7030 hits the middle ground

An A2 glove can feel under-protected on sheet metal, while jumping to a thick nitrile A4 costs you the fingertip feel precision work needs. The 7030 threads that gap: A3 cut protection — a real step up from the A2 7025 — delivered through a thin PU palm that stays more tactile than nitrile at the same cut level, all on a lightweight 13-gauge shell. It is the do-most option for assembly and light fabrication. As cut-resistant gloves go, this is the balanced mid-tier pick, and the best cut-resistant gloves guide and complete cut-glove guide cover how to match glove to task. It buys cut protection without dulling the touch.

Safety first: the 7030 is a cut-resistant glove, not a chemical glove — it is not rated for a chemical splash hazard. If your task involves solvents, degreasers, acids, or other chemicals, wear dedicated chemical-resistant gloves selected by breakthrough time for that chemical, and see the chemical-resistant gloves guide. Match the cut level to the hazard using the ANSI A1-A9 cut-level guide and pick the lowest level that covers it; the listed A3 rating covers slicing cut forces, not punctures. Replace the gloves once the coating or liner wears through.

What the Ergodyne ProFlex 7030 listing documents

From the published specs: ANSI/ISEA 105 A3 cut resistance; a thin PU palm coating for tactile feel; a lightweight 13-gauge shell; and dry-condition grip for assembly, packaging, and precision handling. These are true a3 cut resistant gloves credentials and a genuine set of pu coated gloves — a balanced pair of 13-gauge cut gloves.

How the Ergodyne ProFlex 7030 compares to other gloves

For the lighter A2 PU, the Ergodyne ProFlex 7025; for A3 foam nitrile grip, the Ergodyne ProFlex 7031; for higher A4, the sandy-nitrile 7024; for A5 food-grade, the 7040; for A7, the 7070; and for a microfiber palm, the 7000. The nitrile-vs-PU coating guide explains the trade-offs.

Choosing the right glove for the hazard

Cut level and coating are separate decisions. For coating and cut families, browse the nitrile gloves and mechanics gloves collections; for impact hazards, the impact-resistant gloves and cut-vs-impact guide; and for the mechanic's bench, the mechanics cut-glove guide. Leather options live in the leather work gloves collection.

Where it fits by job and team orders

The 7030 suits assemblers, light fabricators, and packagers who need A3 cut protection without losing tactile feel. Because PU wears faster than a thick nitrile dip, budget for replacement on abrasive tasks and step to foam nitrile where grip and durability matter more than feel. Inspect the coating and liner each shift, size the glove snug for dexterity, keep chemical tasks on chemical gloves, and replace worn pairs promptly. Good value
These were required for some job sites. They are nice for working with your hands. They fit well. The touch-screen finger tips work well on my tablet, but not as well on my phone. My phone has a screen protector so maybe that has something to do with it.

Tuff gloves.
Don’t buy the micro fabric gloves. The tear fast. These gloves a rugged. Last longer. FYI they are sized small. So if you’re a medium get a large.

Small
Not bad, but the size runs a little small. You should probably order a size larger if you hope to get any use out of them.

Protective gloves
I work with cutting a lot of glass for art projects these gloves are great. They help me hold on to the glass so it doesn't slip, I've jabbed my hands by accident no cuts, they're sturdy a little big but not too big. I really don't worry about cutting myself or the material of the glove when I'm cutting glass with these on very protective.

Comfortable but they don't last
I've gone through 3 of this brand's gloves in just 1 spring of heavy yard work. They all develop holes in the glove (this one was in between the thumb and index finger). Otherwise, they're comfortable and offer decent protection.

XL Gloves Were Way Too Small Compared To Their Sizing Chart - Even 2XL Were Too Small
These gloves seem well made and the finger tip coating works well with my cell phone, but the XL gloves are WAY too small despite me measuring my hand and ordering the size recommended in their sizing chart. These gloves cost me twice as much because I now need to order the 2XL gloves and hope that they're large enough. Maybe I can find someone with medium or large hands who might be able to use these new "XL" gloves that I can't wear.UPDATE: I received the 2XL gloves and they're too small as well. The fabric forms webbed fingers and the articulation is very poor even though I deliberately selected a less protective A3 rating (A1 is thinnest and A9 is thickest). It's very difficult to bend the stiff gloves to grasp anything. With a lot of hand strength, I can fully grasp a large 2 inch diameter object but that makes the gloves very uncomfortable with binding across the back of my hand at the knuckles, and across the fingers just ahead of my palms.I've now bought two pairs of these gloves and can't use either of them, and can't return them because that would almost surely result in someone else buying gloves that aren't entirely new.The gloves earned two stars for apparently being well made, for anyone with small hands willing to buy 2-3 sizes larger to get gloves that fit, who needs to have their hands protected from cuts and abrasion while they're standing around not grabbing anything or using tools. These might be good gloves for effete petite managers on a job site.
