Because we are not the seller, WC Safety cannot accept returns, issue refunds, or exchange a product. If you need to return something you bought after reading one of our guides, the return is handled where you actually bought it. This page explains where to go and what to do about a safety-critical defect.
Where to start your return
Almost every purchase originating from this site is completed on Amazon. Open Your Orders in your Amazon account, find the item, and choose Return or Replace Items. Amazon's return window, refund timing, and return-shipping rules are set by Amazon and by the seller of record for that listing - which may be Amazon itself or an independent marketplace seller. If you bought the item somewhere else - a distributor, a local safety supplier, a manufacturer's own store - that seller's return policy governs, not ours and not Amazon's.
Defective safety-critical equipment
Respirators, fall-protection gear, hard hats, eye protection, and gas detection are life-safety equipment. If a product arrives damaged, counterfeit, or fails in service, return it through the seller for a refund - and please also report it, because that is what drives recalls and standards revisions:
- NIOSH NPPTL User Notices - counterfeit or misrepresented respirators.
- CPSC SaferProducts.gov - consumer product failures, including alarms and detectors.
- The manufacturer's customer-service line, printed on the product or its packaging.
Reporting is additive - it does not replace your refund request to the seller, and it does not go through us.
Counterfeit PPE
Counterfeit respirators and safety glasses do circulate on large marketplaces. If a NIOSH approval number, ANSI marking, or holographic label looks wrong, stop using the product, return it through the seller as not-as-described, and check the approval against the NIOSH Certified Equipment List.
