The SparkPlugs® 6654 corded earplug is the workhorse of the Moldex corded lineup. A lightweight, tangle-resistant cord connects the pair and hangs comfortably around the neck between uses. For food processing, pharmaceutical, and other regulated environments, the SparkPlugs® 6615 adds metal detectability to the same NRR 33 dB formula — if a plug is ever lost in a production environment, the cord and metal-detectable material ensure it can be found before reaching the product stream.
Pura-Fit® 6900 corded earplugs deliver the same ultra-smooth, skin-friendly foam that makes the uncorded Pura-Fit® a top seller, now with a built-in cord for all-day convenience. The tapered contoured shape creates a secure, pressure-free seal with NRR 33 dB attenuation — ideal for workers who find standard earplugs uncomfortable after long shifts. Softies® 6650 corded earplugs take comfort even further with an exceptionally soft, non-irritating foam formulation that is among the gentlest available for workers with sensitive ear canals, still achieving NRR 33 dB.
For facilities and workers seeking alternatives to foam rolling, the Glide® corded series (6945 and 6946) offers a patented polymer foam that inserts with a simple twist-and-push motion — no rolling required, no dirty-finger contamination of the foam body. This makes Glide® corded earplugs the top choice in clean-room environments, food processing, and any application where gloved workers struggle with traditional earplug insertion. Glide® provides NRR 30 dB protection, and the Glide® Soother variant adds a moisturizing coating for workers with dry or sensitive ear canal skin.
Meteors® 6970 corded earplugs bring the distinctive bell-shaped Meteors® design together with a practical cord connection at NRR 33 dB. Mellows® corded earplugs add another option at NRR 30 dB for workers who prefer a softer, more flexible foam with a gentle expanding rate. Camo Plugs® corded variants provide high-visibility and program accountability in a fun design that workers actually want to wear — improving compliance in facilities that struggle with earplug adoption.
All Moldex corded earplugs are manufactured in the USA and are free of PVC and harmful plasticizers, consistent with Moldex's commitment to healthier hearing protection. OSHA's hearing conservation standard (29 CFR 1910.95) requires employers to provide hearing protection when noise exposure exceeds 85 dBA as an 8-hour time-weighted average.
