Vertical Lifelines & Rope Grabs
Vertical lifelines and rope grabs connect a worker's harness to a roof or overhead anchor point when climbing or working at height. A vertical lifeline assembly (VLA) pairs a 5/8-inch rope lifeline with a rope grab that travels along the rope and locks during a fall; many assemblies add a shock absorber to limit arrest forces. Choose the lifeline length for your working height — common lengths run 25 ft to 100 ft — and match the rope grab to the rope diameter it is rated for.
