I really needed these
I don 't cook often an d almost every time I cut myself. These gloves have saved me a lot of pain. They are indispensable when using a grater. All of your skin will stay attached if these gloves are used.

Yes! Must-have for cutting up fruit and veggies
We love to can food and do a lot of prepping ahead of time in our family. I have so many scars and areas of nerve damage on my hands from working in the kitchen over the years and after looking at how awful my hands look these days---have finally decided to try remembering to use gloves- when I wash dishes, and when I use knives. My hands don't slip around when using these and not being so timid when cutting actually helps me be more effective and fast when cutting things. Very pleased. Will order more for my mother, who eternally walks around with a cut or two or three on her hands.

Good Cut-Resistant Gloves
These are very good cut-resistant gloves. They are designed for food service & can be machine washed. They are thin enough to keep your hands in good contact with a knife – they do not feel bulky. They are not made with glass or steel so they feel “normal”/not irritating on my hands. These would also be good for working with stained glass or framing pictures.

For general use during projects
Summary: For years, I worked on projects, be it around the house or the vehicles, but I didn't use gloves. Having the right level of protection is important.Observations: ANSI recently revised the protection rating for gloves, so it would be a good time to read up on the new standard. These are A4 Cut level. No rating for abrasion or puncture resistance. When I am doing yard work, especially tree clearing where I am using a hand saw, I prefer to have a high cut level, like A5 (or higher). These are good for general projects, and they have good grip, but coated gloves (like Nitrile) would have better grip when wet.SIZING: I normally wear a Medium in everything, but I can also wear large. These went on easily, and didn't bunch up excessively (like an oversized glove would), so I rate the sizing for Large as accurate.Recommendations: Good to have several different types and styles of gloves on hand. I have a set of heavy leather gloves when I am working on thorny bushes. Inspect your gloves often, and retire the ones that no longer offer complete protection.Pros: Good fit & finish; grip; good stretch; size is accurate.Cons: Cost. Conclusion: At $8 for a pair, rating these 4-stars.

SAVE your fingers!
If you use a mandolin for slicing, or often work with super sharp knives (the only kind to have) these cut resistant gloves are a necessity. Mandolins are wonderful kitchen tools but very dangerous ( have the scars to prove it) a large super sharp razor blade allows slicing vegetables into any thickness including paper thin but sometimes the sliding holder slips putting your fingers into very scary territory. They’re made with TenaLux yarn, without irritating glass or steel, providing 360-degree breathability with a cool-to-the-touch feel. Also they are machine washable.

They say that sharp knives are safer but...
I got these gloves after I got a set of cutco knives and had a few issues with how brutally sharp they are. I do lots of bulk food prep and I always wear these gloves now. I have definitely cut tested them accidentally a few times already and they worked as advertized. They also fit as expected.

Good protection, but left my hands a bit sweaty
These are pretty good. They offer good protection, however, I didn't find them to be "breathable" as the description suggests. They still did make my hands quite sweaty when I was working in the heat outside. Overall, though, they are well made, fit nicely, and offer good protection.
