ANSI A7 Cut Resistant Ergodyne Gray High Cut Level ProFlex Work Gloves
EDITORIAL REVIEW: 4.5/5 — WC Safety Review of the Ergodyne ProFlex 7073, a neutral-gray A7 glove for severe cut work.
Editorial assessment by Steven Eaton, WC Safety editor, based on published Ergodyne specifications and category fit. We did not laboratory-test this product.

The Ergodyne ProFlex 7073 is a neutral-gray ANSI/ISEA 105 A7 cut-resistant glove — maximum practical cut protection — for metal stamping, automotive manufacturing, glass handling, and recycling. Its neutral gray color suits mixed facilities where hi-vis is not required, and the lightweight shell keeps workable dexterity.

Why the Ergodyne ProFlex 7073 fits severe cut work without hi-vis

Stamping, recycling, and glass work sit at the top of the cut scale, and not every plant wants a lime-green glove on the floor. The 7073 delivers maximum practical A7 cut protection in a neutral gray that blends into mixed manufacturing environments, on a lightweight shell that keeps reasonable dexterity and tactile feedback for machinery and component work. As cut-resistant gloves go, this is the neutral-color severe-hazard pick, and the best cut-resistant gloves guide and complete cut-glove guide cover how to match glove to task. It brings top cut protection in a plant-neutral look.

Safety first: the 7073 is a cut-resistant glove, not a chemical glove — it is not rated for a chemical splash hazard. If your task involves solvents, degreasers, acids, or other chemicals, wear dedicated chemical-resistant gloves selected by breakthrough time, and see the chemical-resistant gloves guide. A7 is a lot of glove — use the ANSI A1-A9 cut-level guide to reserve it for severe hazards and drop to a lower level where dexterity matters. The A7 rating covers slicing cut forces, not punctures. Replace worn gloves.

What the Ergodyne ProFlex 7073 listing documents

From the published specs: ANSI/ISEA 105 A7 cut resistance; a neutral gray color for mixed facilities; a lightweight, dexterous construction; and suitability for stamping, automotive, glass, and recycling. These are true a7 cut resistant gloves credentials and a genuine set of high cut gloves — a plant-neutral pair of neutral gray work gloves. Where a facility standardizes on one color across departments, the neutral gray keeps the glove looking consistent while still carrying top-tier cut protection.

How the Ergodyne ProFlex 7073 compares to other gloves

For its close A7 siblings, the Ergodyne ProFlex 7070 and 7072; for A5 PU, the 7042; for A4 foam nitrile, the 7041; and for A4 sandy nitrile, the 7024. The nitrile-vs-PU coating guide explains the trade-offs.

Choosing the right glove for the hazard

Cut level and coating are separate decisions. For coating and cut families, browse the nitrile gloves and mechanics gloves collections; for impact hazards, the impact-resistant gloves and cut-vs-impact guide; and for heavy leather, the leather work gloves collection and mechanics cut-glove guide.

Where it fits by job and team orders

The 7073 suits stamping shops, automotive plants, glass processors, and recyclers who want top-tier A7 cut protection in a neutral color. Reserve A7 for the tasks that truly generate that hazard and step down to the A4 7024 for general handling, so dexterity is never traded away needlessly. Inspect the liner each shift, size the glove snug for control on heavy parts, keep chemical tasks on chemical gloves, and replace worn pairs promptly once the liner shows any cut or hole. Nice gloves
my husband works in law enforcement and gloves are very important. We decided to give a try as they are cut resistant, so far h they have worked as designed. My husband has been using them for a few months now and they have held up very well, while he’s only using them for searches not heavy construction. My husband has bigger hands and these fit comfortably without being restrictive. We live in the south and they keep his dry and warm on those raining southern day for sure. Definitely work well and are a great value.

Decent work gloves but better options available
I work with my hands a lot, doing handman type jobs and woodworking, so I use a lot of gloves. These fit well; I usually wear a large glove and these are true to size. For everything else they're sort of middle of the road. They seem to be decently durable and thick, and they provide a decent amount of protection. They provide a good grip when I'm working with tools. But I've bought other gloves in the past that were a better value for the money, that felt more durable. These are comfortable, so if you don't use gloves too often, these would be a good option for you.

Good quality cut gloves but probably not for gorilla mitts.
I really like these gloves! Been using them when redoing my plumbing. I use nitrile gloves when working with threading oil but aside from that, I put these on to grip, to not get cut by little metal burrs or random little metal chips, and to just protect my hands a bit in general. The grip has been adequate for my usage so far.The sizing is good but I'd like if an XL was an 11 instead of a size 10. I'd just like 1/16" longer fingers. If you got beefy muscular mitts, you might want to look else where as the palm-part on these gloves are definitely for skinnier, soft programmer/office paws like mine.Overall, these are decent cut gloves. I never use cut gloves for working with knives at home, always for random tasks. Mind you, they're CUT gloves, not puncture gloves. You can definitely still get stabbed by stuff -- and then you have to pull the piece out of the gloves and your body (fun!).Overall, I like these gloves and would recommend them. Another good brand for cut gloves -- which I HAVE used for actual cut protection -- are Tucker gloves. We used to get those at work for protection and I used to have a stockpile of them. All of these types of gloves, the palm nitrile coated ones, get hard on the nitrile side eventually if you don't condition and maintain them. Usually I don't bother because most pairs mess up in some other way before the conditioning would have affected it, but for the better made gloves it comes into play. Something to keep in mind.

Well fitted work gloves
I have small hands and finding gloves that fit well can be hard. I wanted a size small in work gloves, and these are not only cut resistant, but also nitrile coated in the palms. They don't feel stiff. I can flex my fingers easily while wearing these. Love keeping this set in my truck. It's been helpful to protect my palms when I'm moving a lot of things.

Made well and true to size
Pictured is the extra large, which fit true to size. Good for men with larger fingers/knuckles since there's significant room for movement. Durable and lightweight. They do not make hands too sweaty when working in the heat. Great protection for sharp objects. Overall great gloves and very happy with them.

These gloves are just okay
I am always in need of work gloves for work around the house.I used these when working in the yard and while they are not bad, they are definitely not the best set of gloves I have used. The quality is just okay, not bad, but really don't seem like anything special. I also have questions about how long they will last. When I used them, they did work pretty much as expected, but they just didn't feel as nice as similar gloves that I have used. I also did not like the fit, even though I ordered the same size I always do - they ran a little big/loose.Overall, I am not dissatisfied, but they are not great/perfect either. Here is is the basis for my ratings:⭐️Poor: I do not recommend.⭐️⭐️ Barely acceptable: Has multiple, or major, faults or issues.⭐️⭐️⭐️ Okay: Has some minor faults or issues.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very Good: Could be improved, but still acceptable and functional.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great: I fully recommend.

Comfortable, Functional, and Perfectly Fitted
These Egordyne gloves are extremely comfortable and provide a perfect fit. I typically use a variety of work gloves, including nitrile, and usually go for a size large, though they often run a bit big. That’s not the case here; these gloves fit just right. They’re great for everyday use thanks to their breathable design, making them comfortable to wear throughout an entire workday. The grip is excellent. You can confidently handle items without worrying about them slipping. Plus, they’re touchscreen compatible, so using your phone while wearing them is no problem at all. I didn’t experience any issues with screen responsiveness. Another great thing about them is that they are washable. They’re also flexible and not bulky, so you can easily slip them into your pocket when you're done. Overall, these are well made, reliable gloves perfect for both daily work and home projects all at a reasonable price

Comfortable, good fit
These gloves in size M fit me well — neither overly loose nor snug. I could have gone down a size to S, but I'm happy with the M. They're flexible, fairly lightweight, and feel of good quality. We use cut-resistant gloves when we go fishing and clamming, and they're great for shucking shellfish. These offer a good deal of protection from accidental slips, and they give me peace of mind. The gloves themselves are definitely not waterproof, nor do they claim to be in the listing or on the label. I didn't see any instructions for washing, but I'd recommend either a gentle machine cycle or washing by hand, and air drying only (not in a dryer) to prolong their life and elasticity. These are of good enough quality to last for several uses, so I feel that they are worth the list price.

Comfortable, protective, good grip and works well with phone touchscreen
I got these to use for my hand protection when working with sharp objects. The quality is excellent and fits well. I find these very comfortable as these are flexible like any other gloves. I tested these with few of my knives and they didnt even leave a mark on these which gives me assurance that these provide good hand protection. These are durable with the Nitrile coating and provide excellent grip. A good value for money as they also work well with my phone touch screen.

Great quality gloves but a bit expensive
These gloves fit very well. I wear an XL, but depending on the gloves, sometimes I need to go with Large and sometimes XXL. This fit exactly like they should - snug but not tight around the palm and the fingers are just the right length. They are comfortable enough to wear all day since they breath through the cloth backing material. They have a secure grip and are flexible instead of fighting me when I close my hands.  So far, they've held up well for working with woodworking tools and chisels, some of which are VERY sharp. They would be perfect 5 stars, but the price is higher than comparable gloves with similar features.
