EDITORIAL REVIEW: 4.4/5 — WC Safety Review of the Ergodyne ProFlex 7000 Nitrile, a general-purpose foam-nitrile work glove.
Editorial assessment by Steven Eaton, WC Safety editor, based on published Ergodyne specifications and category fit. We did not laboratory-test this glove.

The Ergodyne ProFlex 7000 Nitrile is a lightweight 15-gauge foam-nitrile-coated general-purpose work glove for light assembly, material handling and warehouse operations, offering dry grip, light abrasion resistance and basic cut protection — it is a grip glove; it is not a chemical barrier.

Why the ProFlex 7000 Nitrile is the everyday handling glove

Not every job needs a high-cut glove — a lot of warehouse, packaging and light-assembly work just needs reliable dry grip and dexterity at a sensible price. The 7000 Nitrile fills that role: a lightweight 15-gauge shell with a foam-nitrile palm that grips in dry conditions and resists light abrasion, thin enough to feel small parts. As a workhorse in the mechanics gloves lineup, this is the general-purpose pick, and the mechanics gloves guide and the nitrile vs PU coating guide explain where it fits. It handles the everyday tasks a high-cut glove is overkill for.

Safety first: this is a general-purpose grip glove — the listing states it meets ANSI/ISEA 105 cut and abrasion resistance but does not publish a numeric cut level, so do not treat it as a high-cut glove; where a sharp-edge hazard exists use a rated cut-resistant glove. A coated work glove resists abrasion, not chemicals: for a chemical splash hazard use chemical-resistant gloves rated for the specific chemical. Confirm the specs on the listing, and retire gloves once the coating is worn through.

What the Ergodyne ProFlex 7000 Nitrile listing documents

From the published specs: a foam nitrile palm coating for dry grip; a lightweight 15-gauge knit shell; an X-Small to 2X-Large size range; and a statement that it meets ANSI/ISEA 105 cut and abrasion resistance (no numeric cut level published for this variant). These are true foam nitrile coated work gloves and general purpose work gloves credentials as 15-gauge work gloves. Confirm the coating, size and any cut level on the listing.

How the ProFlex 7000 Nitrile compares to other work gloves

For the A2-cut microfiber-palm 7000 variant, the ProFlex 7000 microfiber; for an A2 cut PU-palm touchscreen glove, the ProFlex 7001 PU Palm; for a hi-vis A2 cut glove, the ProFlex 7021; for an A4 nitrile cut glove, the ProFlex 7024; and for a foam-nitrile Ansell glove, the Ansell HyFlex 11-561. The best cut-resistant gloves guide covers the step-up options.

Choosing the right work glove

Match the coating, gauge and protection level to the task. Browse the mechanics gloves, material-handling gloves, cut-resistant gloves, and hand protection collections; and read the cut-resistant gloves guide, the cut levels explained guide, and the cut vs impact guide to pick the right level when you need one.

Where it fits by job and crew orders

The 7000 Nitrile suits warehouse, distribution, packaging and light-assembly work that needs an affordable everyday grip glove rather than a high-cut specification — see the mechanics gloves guide and the impact-resistant gloves collection for tasks that need more, and step up to a rated cut glove where the hazard assessment calls for it. Confirm the coating, size and any cut level on the listing, and retire gloves once the coating is worn. A very nice glove though super-lightweight. Maybe a bit too lightweight for some tasks.
This reviewer is sort of a glove maven and owns many pair of work, tactical, and winter gloves. Purchased these Ergodyne 7000 nitrile gloves to replace a pair of worn out Mechanix Wear (MW) C3 nitrile gloves. The MW C3 gloves are sort of a standard for this comparison. By way of comparison, the MW gloves are heavier duty and offer superior shock protection to the Ergodyne ProFlex. The Ergodyne ProFlex gloves are lighter, a little airier, fit very snugly providing superior tactile feel, and easily fold up to wear in a back pocket, easier and less bulky than the C3s. The Ergodyne ProFlex are so light, I would have concerns about their ability to perform heavy yard work/gardening (would prefer the C3s for that sort of work) but as a pair of gloves kept in the back pocket to handle breaking down cardboard, sorting recyclables, light fueling vehicles and/or light project work, they should work well.Pros (per Ergodyne):ABRASION RESISTANT - ANSI/ISEA 105-2016 level 5 abrasion resistance for protection when working with rough materialsFLEXIBLE NO-SLIP GRIP - Microfoam nitrile coated palms provide excellent grip, dexterity and feel for all-purpose handling on a variety of surfacesLIGHTWEIGHT FORM FIT - 15-gauge seamless nylon-spandex knit with microfoam nitrile coating for enhanced dexterity and minimal hand fatigueTOUCHSCREEN CAPABLE - Easily swipe, tap and type on smartphones and tablets without removing glovesLONG SEAMLESS KNIT CUFFS - Fit snug to wrists to extend protection while keeping dirt and debris outMACHINE WASHABLETESTED - Meets EN 388: 4121A and ANSI/ISEA 105-2016 level A1 cut-resistant, level 5 abrasion resistant and level 2 puncture resistant standardsCONS:Maybe a bit too lightweight for gardening work.

Wrong Size
I ordered a size small. They came with no size tag and were way to big. I have ordered this brand numerous times in small from other vendors. They have always had a size marking and fit perfect.

Actually fits, but wears out quickly
My Job requires some puncture resistance and on that front these actually delivered. I have smaller hands so finding gloves that would fit tight enough to be safe while working has been a real PITA for me, but to my surprise these are fairly elastic and cling well, a decent thickness for protection, and actually fit really well. So the grip is quite good. The only downside is the durability. After only about a week of daily use the coating sort of just dissolved from the finger tips. So replacing them weekly would be a must for my job- which does work with sanitizing chemicals though. Might hold up longer if you're not having to keep them wet.

Good for use with 3d printer resin
Nice construction and fit tightly on my hand. I wanted something that I could mess with my 3d printer resin, and it would not get on my hand. These are perfect for that. I have had them for a while, and they seem to be holding up nicely. Makes for easy cleanup. Will buy more of them when or if I need them.

Great work gloves!!
These gloves are lightweight, but still good coverage and protection when working. They have good stretch, and the rubberized coating is great for safety!! He uses them for various chores without any problems or issues!
