So easy to install, even I could do it!
When my last smoke alarm battery decided to die at 3am (of course) and woke the whole neighborhood with that awful sound, I decided it was time for something new. I found this and couldn't be more pleased because it's a combination smoke and CO detector with a 10-year battery life. 10 years of not changing a battery and it will be fine during a power outage, whoohooo! The LCD panel illuminates if there's a problem so you don't even need a ladder to check what's going on. The LCD then turns off in standby mode so there's no glaring light or anything to disturb your sleep, unless of course an emergency and then it will sound and you'll want to get up and get out! My favorite plus...it's absolutely easy to install since it doesn't require any wiring and so easy to mount (if I can do it, anyone can) with the included bracket, screws, and anchor plugs if you need them. I purchased this to replace a 1st alert smoke and CO detector purchased Sept 2024, it also had 10 yr warranty. 2 days ago it malfunctioned. The 1st time I was able to reset w/reset button, the 2nd time only way was to deactivate it. Like this model instead. It has digital coding when u press the test button AND u can cut it off instead of having to destroy it by switching to the off position. With this model I can 🤙 customer service to discuss instead of having to destroy the unit. I checked everything in my new 🏠 to make sure no fire or CO present and couldn't find anything, so it was a malfunction w/1st alert. This model didn't trigger an alarm when tested. 👍. A much better buy and device for one's money 💰. Highly recommend.
