Don't forget to dust your vents with compressed air every few weeks. "C" stands for conductive, and these hats are designed for a max airflow. As union job sites are increasingly requiring us to have these Type 2 hard hats, I found myself needing one ASAP to replace "Old Faithful", my beloved Type 1. I opted for this one mainly based on how quick I could get it and price. Plus I didn't hate the looks of it. It satisfied the safety guy on my job site. And it feels like it has better head and sun coverage than those bike helmet looking ones everyone else has. What I dont like is how it doesn't really wanna stay on your head. Maybe it's me, maybe it's this particular brand, or maybe it's all Type 2s? But with the inside being a full Styrofoam basket or just doesn't seem to sit deep enough. Granted the chin strap prevents it from falling off, which is literally it's intended function. But I just prefer the way my head sat nestled up in my Type 1. So 4 stars... because it may just be a common Type 2 issue, and everything else about it was great
