A safety helmet protects your head, but it does not keep you from falling. Any time you work at height above the trigger set by OSHA 1926.501, head protection has to be paired with a personal fall arrest system — an anchor, a full-body harness, and a connecting device — not treated as a substitute for one. Don't be an egghead
Forced to buy one of these new-fangled chin strap hard hats. I really didn't want the eggshell looking one that home depot sells from the red company. Glad this one exists, the brim isn't as nice as my old Honeywell, but I'll take what I can get.
