Heavy duty latex gloves β€” 14 mil Adenna Hero with extended cuff

The Adenna Hero HER002 is our maximum-gauge answer for heavy duty latex gloves: 14 mil natural rubber latex with an extended cuff, built for mechanic work, abrasion-heavy handling, and incidental splash. Where standard-gauge disposable latex shreds against fasteners and sharp casting edges, the Hero's wall holds β€” that is the whole reason this glove exists. If you are still choosing a polymer, the how to choose disposable gloves walkthrough and the nitrile vs latex vs vinyl reference frame the decision in five minutes.

Read the full Adenna Hero 14 Mil Heavy Duty Latex Gloves, Extended Cuff review β†’

As 14 mil latex gloves, the Hero trades some fingertip feel for tear resistance and working life; the extended cuff makes them genuine long cuff latex gloves that keep grime off your wrist when you reach into wheel wells and machinery. For all-day shop use they behave like dedicated latex work gloves rather than throwaway thin-gauge disposables.

Key features

  • 14 mil natural rubber latex β€” several times the wall thickness of common thin disposable latex
  • Extended cuff covers the glove-to-sleeve gap at the wrist and lower forearm
  • Built for mechanic, abrasion-heavy, and incidental-splash tasks
  • One stocked configuration β€” the linked Amazon listing carries the size run
  • SKU HER002, sold by the box through the linked listing

Pros & cons

Pros
  • 14 mil wall survives abrasion that destroys thin latex
  • Extended cuff adds real wrist and forearm coverage
  • Live Amazon pricing and size run on the linked listing
Cons

What the Adenna Hero is for

Order it when the failure mode of your current glove is tearing: brake jobs, rusted fasteners, cast parts, demolition cleanup, drain work. It belongs to the latex gloves collection alongside our trade gloves, and it pairs naturally with the shop staples in the best nitrile gloves for mechanics guide when oil exposure pushes you off latex. If your hazard is laceration rather than abrasion, step over to the cut-resistant gloves collection and the cut-resistant gloves complete guide; employers selecting under OSHA 1910.132 should document the hazard assessment either way.

Latex allergy? Stop here

Natural rubber latex can trigger allergic reactions in sensitized users β€” no thickness fixes that. The direct substitutes live in the nitrile gloves collection: start with the best heavy duty nitrile gloves guide for gauge-equivalent picks, or the nitrile gloves complete guide for the whole family. Food and light-duty users can also consider the best vinyl gloves guide.

How the Adenna Hero compares

Within heavy-gauge latex, cross-shop the Gloveworks HD blue latex, Grease Monkey HD latex, and SAS Dyna Grip latex, plus the SAS Thickster line. If you want exam-style Adenna gloves instead of shop-gauge, the Adenna Phantom and Adenna Platinum carry the brand's thinner lines, and the Ansell Microflex Diamond Grip β€” reviewed in our Diamond Grip write-up β€” is the benchmark grip-texture latex. For sustained chemical contact, skip latex entirely and match polymer to chemical in the chemical-resistant gloves collection.

Safety note: match this glove to your hazard assessment. A thick latex glove built for abrasion and incidental splash is not chemical splash hazard protection for immersion work, not cut-rated, and not safe for latex-sensitized wearers β€” and no disposable-style glove substitutes for the engineering controls your task requires.

Ordering FAQ

Which size of the Adenna Hero latex gloves should I order?
We cover one configuration and the linked Amazon listing carries the manufacturer's size run. Thick 14 mil latex has less stretch than thin disposable gloves, so if you sit between sizes, go up β€” an oversize glove works, an undersize one splits at the palm.

Are the Adenna Hero gloves in stock and ready to ship?
This listing is active and ships through Amazon. Open the linked listing to see live availability, size options, and delivery speed.

How many Adenna Hero gloves come in a box?
Pack count is shown on the linked Amazon listing for the configuration you select β€” heavy-gauge latex typically ships in smaller counts than thin exam-style boxes.

Can I order the Adenna Hero gloves in bulk for a crew?
Yes. Order multiple boxes through the linked listing and mix sizes across the order β€” hands vary more than crews expect, and thick latex punishes a bad fit.

What jobs are the Adenna Hero latex gloves right for?
Reach for them on mechanic work, abrasion-heavy handling, and tasks with incidental splash β€” anywhere standard-gauge disposable latex shreds in minutes. If your hazard is cut, chemical immersion, or impact, a different glove family is the right call and our collections cover each one.

What does 14 mil mean, and how does it compare with regular latex gloves?
Mil is thousandths of an inch of material. At 14 mil the Hero carries roughly two to three times the wall of common thin disposable latex, which is what buys its tear resistance and working life β€” at the cost of some tactile feel.

What is the benefit of the extended cuff on the Adenna Hero?
The longer cuff covers the wrist gap between glove and sleeve, keeping grime and splash off your forearm when you reach into wheel wells, sinks, or machinery. It is wrist-and-forearm coverage, not elbow-length protection.

I am allergic to latex β€” can I use the Adenna Hero?
No. These are natural rubber latex, which can trigger allergic reactions in sensitized users. Pick a nitrile equivalent instead β€” the nitrile gloves collection carries heavy-duty options with similar grip and gauge.

Are the Adenna Hero gloves powdered or powder-free?
Check the linked Amazon listing for the current configuration's powder status β€” we publish only what the listing states rather than assuming.

Can I reuse the Adenna Hero gloves?
The 14 mil wall survives far longer than thin disposables on clean tasks, but inspect before each wear and retire the pair at any nick, thin spot, or chemical swelling β€” a compromised glove protects nothing.

Can I use the Adenna Hero gloves for chemical work?
Treat them as protection for incidental splash only. For immersion or sustained chemical contact, match the glove polymer to your specific chemical using the chemical-resistant gloves collection and your safety data sheets.

Should I buy the Adenna Hero or a different glove?
If you want maximum-gauge latex with forearm coverage, this is the tier. If you need medical-exam styling, see the Adenna Phantom or Platinum lines; if sensitivity to latex or oils dominates your work, go nitrile β€” the nitrile vs latex guide walks the decision.

How do I reorder the Adenna Hero gloves later?
Reorder from this page β€” the product listing and its linked Amazon ASIN stay constant, so a repeat order takes seconds.

AWESOME gloves for heavy work! Nearly rip-free and the long cuff stays up.
I've bought the Adenna black 9 mil "Dark Light" gloves for YEARS as my go-to gloves for heavy mechanical or gardening work. I've been upgrading to extended cuff in my thinner gloves recently and came across this heavier extended cuff model from Adenna. I was expecting good things from Adenna and I am not disappointed! I recently had to trench in some new sprinkler pipe and valves in the yard, which included a lot of hand-digging in hard, dried, dirt and rocks. Some 6.5 mil extended cuff nitrile gloves that I recently bought, before finding these 14 mil, would rip a couple of times every digging session. Yeah, dirt in the finger nails. Not these! Only once in all the days worth of work I did with them did the top of a finger rip, but did so while I was doing some VERY heavy scraping of old, hard, dirt and rocks out of a hole. Ha I'm sure that would have scraped up the end of my finger skin pretty badly too if not for the gloves. I wouldn't even think about the 6.5 mil gloves anymore for heavy work! Like the 9 mil Dark Light, these are nicely rubbery and stretchy. The cuff stays up very well and is long enough to keep stuff out. The only downside, if I call it that, is that 14 mil is too thick for my "daily driver" gloves for general cleaning, housework, and washing pet food bowls. I still use the 6.5 mil (and 5 mil) for less demanding stuff. Different glove thicknesses, different purposes!

Works great for shop or bees.
I am a beekeeper and use these to protect my hands. Thick enough to stop most stings, thin enough to feel. I also use them in my shop. So tough I re ash them and then se multiple times. Just soak them in soapy water. Go on easy.

Very high value product--extremely durable and priced reasonable
I'm a mechanic. I'm really hard on my hands, and I don't like wearing gloves. When I do wear them, I regularly destroy your typical Mechanix Wear gloves doing heavy work. Now, those gloves are $15-20 per pair, so I have found myself going without gloves due to cost. All that said, I am getting older and I'm sick of beating up, cutting up my hands. A friend gave me a pair of the Thickster brand 12 mil latex gloves (a competitor of Adenna I suppose). I really liked them, but they were $22/box. Then, I saw these Adenna Hero gloves for less cost, thicker at 14 mil, and I decided to try them.First off, they run small. If you wear a large, order an extra large. Don't worry, the gloves won't fit loose at all. You'll prefer the "one size up" fit as it's comfortably snug on your hand yet you can more easily put on and remove the gloves. Second, these gloves are D-U-R-A-B-LE! I removed an exhaust from my truck, cut off the hangers underneath the vehicle with an air cut off tool, ground the parts with an electric grinder, reinstalled the new exhaust, and bolted it all together with these gloves on. That's really heavy duty work. Sure, I got the gloves really dirty, but I couldn't believe they didn't rip! So far, I have used seven or eight pairs of these. I was only able to rip one of the gloves, and that was due to me sharpening a lawn mower blade with a very course/sharp file and the file nicked the glove. When you remove the gloves, your hands are sweaty and the gloves pull off inside-out. Yet, what I have pleasantly discovered is that I can remove these gloves after an hour or so of heavy work, turn them back right-side and shake the fingers back into position, and then reuse the same pair of gloves. They are that tough. The dexterity and feel are great too. I can hold the smallest parts with my fingers (like a bolt and nut), and install them easily with these gloves on--the exterior of the gloves are very smooth yet very "grippy." If you are doing finer tasks, you'll find these gloves are simply a second skin on your fingers. They don't get in the way.Overall, considering the great durability, dexterity, and reasonable cost, these gloves are fantastic. I gave just a 4-star for comfort due to the sweating I get on my hands while using them. Maybe that's unfair as the same thing happened with the Thickster gloves and I think it's just the nature of the beast. Oh well.... If you do heavy work like I do, you'll find these gloves protect your hands well, have fantastic dexterity, and they last. If you do lighter duty tasks, I think you'll be able to make one pair last for days and days (if you don't mind reusing--these are disposable gloves you know). I will say from the heart: Wear gloves whenever you can for your own protection. I went decades without using gloves due to durability, dexterity, and cost issues. My hands are so beat up and callused as a result. Not to mention all the chemicals I have exposed my skin to. These are cheap protection. Make them mandatory when you work with your hands.

Quality Gloves, Good fit, Great for Gardening
Great gloves for gardening. I don't care for regular garden gloves, especially when I am trying to pull weeds. These work perfectly. I have smaller hands, but I decided to order the medium size, and they fit perfectly. The package will last me the entire spring and summer. I ordered this product because the material is thicker than most gloves. Anything thinner will probably not hold up. I will say that once you take them off, even if they are still in good condition, it's a bit difficult to get them back on. For me, it's just easier to get another pair than struggle with a used pair. Good price.

Wonderful gloves, but 2+ years old
This was my second box of these excellent, durable, flexible gloves, which I use for tasks like dishwashing, scrubbing bathroom surfaces, and bleaching hair. I haven't a bad word to say about the product itself. Unfortunately, Amazon Services LLC shipped me gloves manufactured in March 2021, or two years four months ago. That means I've got eight months left in the theoretical three-year shelf life of a latex glove, and this set of gloves does seem slightly deteriorated in texture. By the time I realized this, I'd opened the box and repackaged the gloves -- otherwise I'd probably return them. So buy the gloves, but maybe buy them where you can check the manufacture date on the box yourself.

Very durable, good feel, and long!
These are the thickest gloves I have found. They are very durable, yet they have excellent feel. And they are relatively warm (bonus). Also, true to size.Today, I wore a pair for about 5 hours. it got up to 48 degrees, so I did outdoor chores. Pressure washed two cars and a snowblower to get all the road salt off everything. The long cuffs made the pressure washing great as they stayed well up under my rain jacket sleeves. No water ran down into my hands. No issues with manipulating all the fasteners and spray heads either. And my hands stayed warm. Then I installed new horns in my Prius. This required undoing numerous bolts and button fasteners around the grill, then removing the crappy old horns and wires, and installing the new ones. I also had to stop and create a new ground pigtail since the existing one was so corroded it broke upon removal. Toyota puts the horns in a very tight location between grill and frame, with lots of exposed sharp edges. No worries. These gloves snagged on the sharp bits several times but never ripped. I even pinched them in the wire fastener crimpers a couple times, but they never punctured. I had no trouble stripping wire and crimping fasteners on. No dexterity issues. The long cuffs also protected my wrists nicely. When I was taking them off at the end of the day, I actually TRIED to rip them. No dice. These gloves are great. Highly recommended for chores and wrenching.

Thickythickthick
I love that they're actually thick. They stay on your hands they don't rip right away. They are rubber not nitrile. Theyre close to how gloves for dishes are, thickness wise, but better fitting. They're amazing. recommend 100%
