Absolutely meet my expectations
Absolutely meet my expectations. It fits well and thus feels comfortable. It is light weight and does not give me a headache to be wearing it all day. The only issue I has was I did not get the piece to attach the visor to the helmit. I don't know what happened but it somehow did not reach me so I how you get your if you decide to buy

Very comfortable. Great value
There are very few type 2 class E hard hats available for less than $130-$150. Frankly I wasn't really willing to pay that much to try going to a class too. But at this price point it was worth trying, and it has been a great purchase. It is very comfortable, can easily wear all day, and once I got rid of the DeWalt sticker It had a nice aesthetic to it as well. Well worth it. Some guys don't like that it doesn't really have a brim, but I like it for my flashlight mount, keeps objects right in front of me within the beam easier.

Pretty decent for the price, and space for a fun bun too!
Once I figured out how to wear it the right way, it was comfortable and worked exactly as I needed it to. In Florida, there’s no real way to keep your head cool in these things, but this one was better than most I’ve tried. The padding and fit feel decent, and it doesn’t shift around when I’m moving. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid hard hat for the price — just don’t expect a miracle for beating the heat.

Not for XL-XXL size approved 7-5/8 or smaller heads
Preface this with some background info … I wear a 7-3/4 size fitted hat and if it’s not XL-XXL flex fit than it’s gonna give me a headache… this hardhat (universal size) doesn’t adjust size large enough that it can be comfortable to wear more than about 1hr (band twists and pokes into skull painfully weird deal)

Well made
This is a well made hard hat. There is a lot of space between the webbing inside and the top of the hard hat inside. This makes the hardhat look very tall on your head. It’s not very stylish, but it provides a nice safety cushion.

high speed, low drag
My go-to hard hat was always a traditional, white, full-brim hard hat when I worked in refining operations. The full brim was a must during the day shift given the need for a little shade, and I cannot recommend a good hard hat headlamp for hands free illumination at night. I've always kept an extra hard hat around the house for mousing around in the attic, trimming the trees, or just anytime I may need some hands-free light. At home, I found the that same wide brim style to be a bit cumbersome. I wanted to try one of these lower profile defender style hard hats. I'm so glad I did. I love this thing, and I can see why their gaining in popularity. It's as light as my MSA full brim, but has much better internal padding and protection, it doesn't get in the way when crawling around in tight spaces, is much more comfortable and secure fitting, and seems to offer a good bit more impact protection. Very pleased.
