Blue latex gloves in a 13 mil heavy-duty gauge

The Gloveworks HD by AMMEX brings the classic shop formula β€” blue latex gloves, thick wall, grippy latex feel β€” to abrasion-heavy work: wrenching, parts handling, cleanup with incidental splash. As 13 mil latex gloves they sit at the heavy end of the disposable-style spectrum, built to survive the fastener edges and casting burrs that shred thin gloves in minutes. If you are still picking a material, the how to choose disposable gloves walkthrough and the nitrile vs latex vs vinyl reference lay out the trade-offs quickly.

Within the AMMEX family, gloveworks latex gloves are the industrial line β€” and the HD blue is its heavy-gauge flagship, behaving more like reusable heavy duty rubber gloves than like the thin exam-style latex most people picture.

Key features

  • 13 mil natural rubber latex β€” several times the wall of standard thin disposables

  • Built for mechanic, abrasion-heavy, and incidental-splash tasks
  • One stocked configuration β€” the linked Amazon listing carries the size run

What the Gloveworks HD is for

Keep a box at the workbench for the jobs bare hands and thin gloves both lose: brake and suspension work, rusted hardware, demolition cleanup, drain and grease work. It lives in the latex gloves collection beside our trade gloves; if oils dominate your bay, weigh the picks in the best nitrile gloves for mechanics guide, since petroleum exposure is where latex gives way to nitrile. Laceration hazards belong to a different family entirely β€” see the cut-resistant gloves collection and the cut-resistant gloves complete guide. Employers documenting selection under OSHA 1910.132 should file the hazard assessment with the order.

Sensitized to natural rubber? Go nitrile

No latex glove works for a latex-sensitized crew member. The gauge-equivalent substitutes live in the nitrile gloves collection β€” start with the best heavy duty nitrile gloves guide, or the nitrile gloves complete guide for the whole family.

How the Gloveworks HD compares

Its closest neighbor is the 14 mil Adenna Hero β€” one mil thicker with an extended cuff, versus the HD's hi-vis blue. The Grease Monkey HD plays in the same heavy-gauge space, the SAS Dyna Grip and the SAS Thickster line are the SAS takes, and the Ansell Microflex Diamond Grip β€” see our Diamond Grip review β€” is the thin-gauge grip benchmark if dexterity outranks durability. Need an exam-designated latex instead? The Adenna Platinum carries that role, and for specific chemicals skip latex and match polymer to hazard in the chemical-resistant gloves collection.

Safety note: match this glove to your hazard assessment. A 13 mil latex glove for abrasion and incidental splash is not chemical splash hazard protection for concentrated or immersion work, carries no cut rating, and natural rubber is off-limits for anyone with a latex allergy. No disposable-style glove substitutes for the engineering controls your task requires.

Ordering FAQ

Which size of the Gloveworks HD blue latex gloves should I order?
We cover one configuration and the linked Amazon listing carries the manufacturer's size run. Heavy 13 mil latex stretches less than thin disposables, so between sizes go up β€” a tight palm is what splits thick gloves.

Are the Gloveworks HD gloves in stock and ready to ship?
This listing is active and ships through Amazon. Open the linked listing for live availability, size options, and delivery speed.

How many gloves come in the Gloveworks HD package?
Pack and case counts are shown on the linked Amazon listing for the configuration you select β€” verify the count there before ordering, since heavy-gauge lines often sell by the case.

Can I outfit a whole crew with the Gloveworks HD?
Yes β€” order across sizes on the linked listing. Case-level ordering is the usual route for shops that go through gloves weekly.

What work are the Gloveworks HD blue latex gloves built for?
Mechanic work, abrasion-heavy handling, and tasks with incidental splash β€” the jobs where thin disposable latex fails in minutes. For cut, impact, or chemical-immersion hazards, use the matching specialist glove families instead.

What does 13 mil mean in practice?
Mil is thousandths of an inch of glove wall. At 13 mil the Gloveworks HD carries roughly two to three times the material of a standard thin latex disposable β€” that is where its tear resistance and working life come from, traded against some fingertip feel.

Why are these gloves blue?
Blue is a work-glove convention that makes the glove easy to spot against skin, parts, and grime, and makes tears obvious at a glance. It carries no performance rating by itself.

Can people sensitized to natural rubber wear the Gloveworks HD?
No β€” this is a natural rubber latex glove. Pick a heavy-gauge nitrile equivalent instead; the nitrile gloves collection carries direct substitutes.

Can I use the Gloveworks HD with chemicals?
Treat it as protection for incidental splash only. For immersion or sustained contact, match the glove polymer to the specific chemical using your safety data sheets and the chemical-resistant gloves collection.

Are the Gloveworks HD gloves reusable?
The 13 mil wall survives multiple clean-task wears, but inspect before each use and discard at any nick, thin spot, or swelling β€” a compromised barrier protects nothing.

Gloveworks HD or the Adenna Hero β€” which heavy latex glove should I buy?
They solve the same problem in neighboring gauges: the Hero runs 14 mil with an extended cuff, the Gloveworks HD runs 13 mil in hi-vis blue. Pick by cuff coverage and color preference; both leave thin disposables behind.

Are these exam-grade gloves?
No exam designation is claimed on this listing β€” treat them as industrial work gloves. If your workplace requires exam-rated gloves, choose a listing that explicitly carries that designation.

How do I reorder the Gloveworks HD gloves later?
Reorder from this page β€” the product listing and its linked Amazon ASIN stay constant, so a repeat order takes seconds.

The best gloves for gun coating
I never take time to write reviews. I normally just rate the products I buy with stars. But these gloves impressed me so much I had to share and write a review for my fellow gun coaters or chemical guys out there. I love these gloves. I bought them three or so weeks ago cause they where probably the best/cheapest box of gloves on Amazon at the time since every thing like gloves and ppe stuff has gone up in price or is hard to find since covid started. I spray kg gunkote on everything thing from guns to car parts basically anything metal and certain types of polymer/plastic. For the gun coating to work as it is advertised the parts have to be extremely clean. So you clean the parts with acetone or brake cleaner then sandblast the parts then heat the parts up to force all the left over oils out of the pours of the metal and then degrease the parts again. Then I paint the freshly cleaned parts with the gloves still on and then I have to clean the spray gun out with acetone or break cleaner. So my gloves are constantly in very tuff solivants. I have order no lie hundreds of box's of gloves from different manufacturers over the years. I always try to get 7 mil or higher gloves. I bought these cause they where the only ones instock and cheap and Amazon offered next day delivery. I basically always have to wear gloves with all the cleaning I have to do with strong solivants. Every other name brand gloves that are comprable to these would break down or get holes in them or the solvent woukd start degrading the other brands gloves. So I was going threw 5 to 10 pairs a day depending on how much work I have that particular day. But with these gloves every thing I mentioned that was bad about the other gloves with them degrading to quickly. but with these new gloves they don't degrade at all. I might use 1 to 2 pairs a day with constantly wearing them and constantly using acetone and brake cleaner wearing these gloves and they are in pretty much perfect shape with them not degrading or breaking down and tearing easily after degreesing. These gloves are now the only gloves I'll ever order. I'll probably save 50 ish dollars every month or equal to 2 to 4 boxes of other brand gloves. Just not having to spend money constantly on gloves that are subpar compared to these it's really nice to be able to save money like that . If u deal with caustic cleaners/chemicals these glove are definitely the best gloves for you. You can't beat the price and you definitely can't beat the profomance and durability of these gloves. So I highly recommend these gloves.

I wear these every single day
These are by far the best gloves I've ever used. I work outside all year, so I'm always wearing these. Every single day. Even days off to do yardwork I put these things on. They're so robust they can be washed & dried and reused many times. In the winter, I use these under fingerless gloves. In the summer, I use these alone. Of course they make your hands sweat, but that's the nature of these gloves. I've bought over a thousand pairs over quite a few years and I can't think of one time I've ever had one rip by just putting it on, which isn't something I can say about any other gloves.I get them tight to maintain ultimate dexterity. I can't stand having any loose bits in gloves. I can use my phone with these on, so they don't come off til the end of each day.If you were to search my reviews you'd see I love giving negative reviews for junk products, but I have absolutely nothing negative to say about these. Provided they keep the pricing reasonable, I'll buy many thousands more in the future. Unless you're dealing with solvents not compatible with the material of these gloves, you will not find a better choice. Get them. You won't regret it. Pinky swear.

A trade girlie’s must have
As a female in the trades, this used to be my secret for clean hands and minimal nail damage! It definitely protects manicures and is super comfortable and long lasting!

Shortchanged on length!
Barely 11 inches from fingertip to cuff-not 12 as stated-however; more durable & thicker than others I’ve tried. Great for tough cleaning jobs, but not if elbow deep!

This is it! The best gloves I've ever used.
I've used a lot of gloves, 2mil, 3mil, 8mil. I thought I can settle with 8mil, but like most of the products out there nowadays, the quality deteriorated. So I thought I give this a try and am glad that I did. I use gloves mostly for kitchen work like washing dishes. I am STILL USING THE VERY FIRST PAIR out of the box from 5 months ago. Still going strong without tear or signs of wear. This is saving me a lot of money. I used to buy kitchen-use purpose gloves at a local shop for about $3 a pair that lasted only three weeks at best. This glove is costing me only 86 cents (based on its price last year) per pair. the only thing to be aware is that you might want to buy one size larger.

Best Gloves I Have Purchased on Amazon!
These are the best! I am so impressed with these gloves. I use mainly for cooking and preparing food so I found that I can wash my gloved hands and move on to the next meal preparation with ease. They are thicker than any glove I have ever purchased, but you still have good touch sensation with these on. Really helps that I can sanitize the gloves rinsing in bleach and not doing that to my bare skin. Love, love the long cuff.

Extremely tough!
I'm not a paid reviewer or any of that nonsense I just hope this helps someone like myself. I'm a master automotive technician at a dealership. I replace and repair engines , transmissions and anyrhing in between. These gloves are thick but once you get used to that they are great. They last longer because they don't rip or tear as easy and if they do it won't take half of the glove with it. Chemical resistance is as good as it gets without having nitrile. Great buy, sold for life!!

With deepest apologies to the Bard...Lady M. reviews Ammex Heavy Duty Latex Gloves
Out, damned spot! out, I say! - One: two: why, then, 'tis time to do't. - Hell is murky! - Fie, my lord, fie! a soldier, and afeard? What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account? - Yet who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him? If only had we a pair of yon Heavy Duty Latex Gloves by Ammex, 'twould have been a far easier cleanup of King Duncan had you, Lord Macbeth, and I your co-conspiring wife, been afitted with such thick and protective accouterments as these disposable gloves! Why, our desire for power could lead to a thousand messy ends of lesser characters with fewer lines or tendency to chew the scenery, yet clean as a sinless soul our hands would be! Oh, m'lord, I beg you to please use your kingly Prime powers to see that we're fixed with these gloves 'fore next we plot and plan and plunge the ponyard!(The preceding review is not intended to suggest that these gloves should be used in the commission of any crime. Just that Lady Macbeth could have saved herself a lot of time and grief if she'd bothered to think about wearing gloves during The Scottish Play. I use them when doing heavy cleaning work on car or around house, and they're great. Buy some. Dr. B says later, and violence never ends well. Gloves are for love!)
