I've had this exact same alarm for over 2 years. We heat mostly with propane. It gives me peace of mind, it easily fits into a low outlet in our living room. The only time it has gone off thankfully is when the 9 volt battery got low and it let us know as alarms do that it needed to be replaced. When we tested it, the alarm is loud just like you'd want it to be. The battery lasted a long time. I recently bought this new one for my granddaughter who has small children because she worried about gas leakage. Now she also has peace of mind.
