Is the Moldex 7400 the only option for ammonia on the Moldex platform?
For stand-alone ammonia protection without particulate filtration, yes โ the Moldex 7400 is the only dedicated ammonia/methylamine cartridge in the Moldex 7000 lineup. For ammonia plus particulate, the Moldex 7467 AM+P100 combo cartridge combines ammonia/methylamine approval with integrated P100 filtration in a single housing. Can I use a Moldex 7667 Smart cartridge for asbestos abatement?
Yes โ the Moldex 7667 Smart integrates a NIOSH P100 filter, which is the required filter class for asbestos abatement air-purifying respirators under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1101. The combination with multi-gas sorbent is appropriate where solvent or gas co-exposure is also present. For pure asbestos particulate (no gas co-exposure), the stand-alone Moldex 7740+ IonicAir P100 stacked on a gas cartridge or used alone is equally protective for the particulate hazard.
