The Pyramex Emerge is a lightweight, wrap-style safety frame designed for workers who need both eye protection and near-vision magnification. Instead of traditional bifocal inserts set low in the lens, the Emerge uses an integrated reader design with clear polycarbonate lenses that provide +1.5, +2.0, +2.5, or +3.0 diopter correction across the full field of view. Custom Rx (prescription-ready) and IR 5.0 filter models are also available for specific applications.

The Custom Rx (DRX) models accept ophthalmic-quality prescription inserts for personalized correction.

Compliance

ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2015 certified for high-impact (Z87+) applications. The IR 5.0 filter model (SB7950SF) meets ANSI Z87.1 shade 5.0 requirements for light gas welding and brazing. Not suitable as primary protection for arc welding or plasma cutting — use appropriate welding helmets for those applications.
