What the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall is for

Order it for asbestos abatement and heavy mold remediation where the suit must meet the boot. It belongs to the disposable coveralls collection, and pairs on the job with mold remediation respirators and the respirator your hazard names β€” start with the when do you need a respirator guide and the respiratory protection collection. For particulate-heavy trades, the respirator for drywall sanding guide and best respirator for asbestos guide cover the matching lung protection, and remediation crews can match cartridges via the mold remediation cartridge guide.

Which size should you order?

We stock the dupont tyvek 400 ty122s coverall in one configuration; the linked Amazon listing carries the manufacturer’s size run. Disposable coveralls layer over work clothes, so order one size over your street size β€” an undersized suit loads the crotch and shoulder seams and tears mid-shift. Between sizes, go up. Employers selecting under OSHA 1910.132 should size for the full range of workers on the task.

How the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall compares

Cross-shop it against KleenGuard A60 Bloodborne Pathogen & Chemical Splash Coverall, KleenGuard A70 Hooded Chemical Spray Protection Coverall, 3M 4515 Disposable Protective Coverall, DuPont Tychem 2000 Hooded Chemical Splash Coverall. If the exposure escalates, step up to the DuPont Tychem 2000; if the hazard is lighter than this suit is built for, the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY127S costs less. The Tyvek vs Tychem reference and disposable coverall types reference explain the fabric ladder.

Safety note: match this garment to your hazard assessment. A suit rated for dry particulates is not chemical splash hazard protection, and no disposable coverall substitutes for engineering controls, arc-rated clothing, or supplied-air systems where those are required.

Ordering FAQ

Which size of the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall should I order?
The linked Amazon listing carries the manufacturer's size run. Order one size over your street clothes β€” coveralls layer over workwear, and sizing up protects the seams when you crouch or reach.

Is the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall in stock and ready to ship?
Yes β€” this listing is active and ships through Amazon. Open the linked listing to see live availability, size options, and delivery speed.

How many suits come in a pack of the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall?
Pack count is shown on the linked Amazon listing β€” some configurations ship as single suits and others as multi-suit cases.

Can I order the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall in bulk for a crew?
Yes. The linked listing shows the pack tier, and you can mix sizes across an order β€” crews rarely fit one size.

What jobs is the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall the right pick for?
Order it for asbestos abatement and heavy mold remediation where the suit must meet the boot. If your hazard is different, the disposable coveralls collection carries the full ladder from breathable particle suits to taped-seam chemical barriers.

What should I wear with the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall?
Complete the kit: gloves matched to the hazard, eye protection, and the respirator your assessment names β€” the mold remediation respirators and respiratory protection pages cover the pairings.

Reorder from this page β€” the product listing and its linked Amazon ASIN stay constant, so a repeat order takes seconds.

Should I buy the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall or a different coverall?
If your work matches asbestos abatement and heavy mold remediation where the suit must meet the boot, this is the right tier. Escalating exposure points to the DuPont Tychem 2000; lighter duty points to the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY127S. Our buyer's guide ranks all ten suits we stock.

Can I wear the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall more than once?
Treat it as single-use. Once worn against the hazard it was selected for, it comes off at the work boundary and is disposed of per the governing standard.

Do I need to tape the wrists and ankles on the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall?
For regulated work (asbestos, lead, biological), yes β€” elastic interfaces seal approximately, and taping the glove and boot junctions is standard practice. For casual dust work the elastic alone is typically fine.

Does the DuPont Tyvek 400 TY122S Coverall include boots or shoe covers?
Yes β€” it has attached boots, which is exactly why abatement crews spec it.

Incredibly tough, great value for the money. Can’t beat the real thing
I’m amazed at how tough genuine Tyvek is. Hours of crawling around in my (awful) attic and zero holes/tears, even with lots of exposed nails and rough boards. These are surprisingly comfy too. It’s awesome to get them in a size that fits (not like the big box stores that only stock XL and XXL).Cheap protection that’s really durable and well made, I’m very pleased! Going to be ordering more for other projects.

Simple design and well made
These are amazing. I have 2 of these. One for oily work, one for dirty work and one for clean work. They last longer than you would expect, but can puncture or cut easily. Patch them if that happens with clear or white duct tape. I cut the booties off just below the ankle elastic.

Great product, tight fit.
I used this for removing poison ivy from my property on a hot Georgia day. It worked great aside from the heat and humidity but I don't think that is the manufacturer's problem. I did have one issue where the crotch ripped out when I bent down (yes, classic). It's possible that I ordered a size too small but more likely these suits are built for tall skinny scientists in mind versus the slightly portly regular folk like me. I'll try a larger size next time and adjust with duck tape.Overall the product did its job and was easily disposed of afterwards. No poison ivy.

Woman vs. Poison ivy
After an unfortunate night landscaping incident left me covered in painful poison ivy rashes, I had to take action. I took mega doses of steriods, hit the massive poison infested brush patch with Roundup, and ordered this suit. With my skin clearing and the weeds dying, I donned my armor on a 90-degree day for 8 hours of clearing. In the end I had 6 heavy duty contractor bags stuffed with wilted poison plants. I gave myself a full body scrub down with Tecnu wash. I wasn't taking any chances. Four days later, I have no poison ivy rashes. As for the fit of the suit, I am 5'5 and 110 lbs. I found the medium to fit fine, definitely a bit roomy on me, but it didn't hinder my movement. I would maybe say the sleeves were short, but I taped them to my gloves, so no problem there. It was pretty durable and would have lasted for more uses, but I was wading through poison oils and threw it right in the trash after one use. The booties stayed intact despite the abuse I put them through. I don't recommend wearing outside on a hot day, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Very good
Love the product, Very good fit and comfortable, but I wish it would be thicker or more resistant on the soles since shoes tend to tear that part. Will buy again

Full coverage protection for poison ivy removal
Like some other reviewers, I intended this for a single, one-time use to remove poison ivy. Other purposes (painting, cleaning, etc.) may be able to re-use, but for trampling in poison ivy territory, my whole goal was a complete coverage suit I could strip and throw away once the task was complete and not risk getting any oil on anything. (I also fitted up with protective glasses and face mask and had next to zero skin exposure, though for extra measure I had slathered poison-x on my face in advance.I especially liked the attached booties. They worked much better than buying separate coveralls and booties/shoe covers (tried that on another occasion). The tyvek material never seemed in danger of tearing or ripping and if I were using this for some other purpose would think one could easily get a dozen uses out of it.One negative for me was that the hoodie part when up would impair vision since it tended to creep over the face a bit too much. Since I was working with poison ivy, I couldn't really push it back as this happened. I wound up removing the hoodie so I could see. I'd recommend buying a painters sock cap instead for head coverage if using for some kind of painting/staining project or for poison ivy removal like me.Another thing is that if you're using for a zero contact application (whether working w/ chemicals or whatever) the fitted sleeves tended to move up during use, potentially exposing the wrist. I had gloves on, and put the suit sleeves over the gloves but again it crept up a few times. A family member suggested cut up tube socks to cover the wrist and suit/glove connection area and that worked great.I looked ridiculous I'm sure (and a few neighbors stopped to stare) but overall I was very pleased with the protection this suit gave for my project.

Worked great
Had to do some work in an attic with blow in fiberglass that had me laying on and rolling around on the insulation. No itching means nothing got in and dragging across cable staples didn't cause any damage. You will be in your own personal sauna so be prepared to sweat.

Good enough and not as hot as knockoffs.
Used this for a hot, messy job skim coating itchy fiberglass fabric that took several days and hung it outside between uses. It's way better than the no-name cheapo before it that was suffocatingly hot even in cold weather.
