This is a great product when traveling

I never have luck with pairing anything, but this was very easy to pair with no issues. Once connected to Wifi, I did not have any connectivity issues even when having to move rooms or hotels and whatnot. It is easy to read as it has a bright backlight, has been very reliable, battery life so far has been good, its portable as it fits into a computer bag or carry one bag without taking a lot of room.I was asked by a co worker if this could be used with the mobile hotspot feature and I did try it several times and you need to ensure a stable 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network, but it does work as we had a carbon monoxide detector activation inside a restaurant in Dallas and my detector activated seconds before the building alarm activated.Highly recommend for anyone traveling for work or pleasure.

Kidde is a reputable and well known brand and they always make reliable and decent products. This is no exception and has been made to their quality standards. One of the few brands I'd trust my house and life with. It comes with a 10 year warranty and is a wall plug with changeable battery backup, so it should last a long time or be replaced. Having wifi is a must now a days and having smoke detectors, explosive gas detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors on your wifi with connection to your phone 24/7 may not just be a life saver (literally) but could be what saves your home, your family and your animals. Set up is a breeze and the instructions are easy enough to understand. Never trust your life to an off-brand. They're a bit pricy, but with 10 year warranty's (and 10 year internal batteries in some cases) and reliability of a company like this are worth every penny. Being able to get notifications from anywhere on your phone is awesome and should be standard on all emergency equipment in my opinion. Especially if you have a surveillance system and can then check to verify if it's a false alarm before contacting the police/fire department. Or anyone who needs to exit the house, or shut something off. You can weigh the risks and act accordingly rather than stumble on a catastrophe or disaster later on. Or God forbid, get that call. Measure Remotely: WiFi Enabled CO Detector
This CO Detector had a really easy set up. The connected app is easy to use and makes it very clear to see if the CO level is clear or not.Although the app doesn’t show the peak CO level, the unit itself does have a Peak button. Mine is showing “Clr” (Clear) when I press it, which shows me I’ve been at a very safe level without any measurable amount.Regarding battery life, I frankly have mine plugged into the wall. It would not sync to WiFi on initialization without plugging into the wall. The location I wanted to measure was by a wall switch anyway, so I just left it plugged in. It does have a battery backup but I’m viewing that as for emergencies.Overall, from past experience, Kidde is a reliable brand. With pets at home, I’m happy to now have a WiFi enabled version of one of their smoke detectors so that I can get accurate readings remotely while I’m traveling and possibly save the lives of my pets while I’m away.

It is as simple as plugging it into a wall and includes the option to rotate 90 degrees to fit most plug positions. I purchased this item so it could help me protect the people in my home. My mother in law is short and sometimes to reach the over the stove microwave she accidentally bumps the stove knobs. With that said the gas will be slightly on until we smell it and turn it off.At her age she doesn't smell as good so she doesn't realize that it's on. I bought this detector to alert me and there has been 4 different occasions that this situation has happened and there is not even a peep from the alarm. My room is across the whole house and if I smell the gas when I walk out my room ... I feel like the detector should have gone off way before that.... But not even a peep

I like the fat that this detector is a plug-in detector with a battery backup. The best feature of this monitor is the fact that it is WiFi enabled for detection notification remotely as well. The Alan is rated for 85 decibels which is loud. Setup was easy. Simply pull the yellow tag at the back to enable the backup batteries and plug it in at your location of choice. In the app you can label the room or location it is placed. It’s larger than I expected but not too large. The unit does look good plugged in with the led display. This unit does not have low level detection nor does it have air quality monitoring (as seen in other versions of this product) but I appreciate that it has multiple ways for you to be notified of a leak. Overall, I am happy with this monitor.
