Great earplugs
These are very good earplugs. I have tried multiple types previously, including foam, barbed, over the head muffs, etc. These work better and are quieter as well. More comfortable than the barbed type and cooler (temperature) than over the head muffs.I have pretty skinny ear canals, apparently, and these work well for me. They are relatively firm and when you roll them to a smaller diameter, they hold this size long enough for you to get them into your ears properly (pull your ear back or down as needed to open up the ear canal, then insert the highly rolled plug into the ear canal). Then, within a minute they expand and fill the ear canal.They are also somewhat re-usable. I keep a set near the lawn mower and weedwacker, and have re-used them about 4 times so far and they look almost like new.I also like them without the connecting cord. With the cord, it always seems to catch something (glasses, collar, tool belt suspenders, etc.). I have accidentally yanked more than one ear-plug out this way. Without the connector, you don't have any of those problems.For really loud work (wood chipper, chainsaw), I put a set of over the head muffs on top of these and it's very quiet. On breaks I lift off the over the head muffs and leave the foam plugs in.My wife also uses them for lawn mowing. She has a custom-molded set of plug she uses for sleeping, and the foam plugs work great for her in the yard.I keep a few pairs in my sling bag (5.11 man-purse) and have them when I need them. Car race, etc.

Adult with ADD: These are THE BEST noise blockers.
I am an adult with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). These are the best noise blockers I have ever tried, and I may have tried them all :-)) Liberty DuraPlug Uncorded Disposable Foam Earplug with 32 dB NRR, Orange (Case of 200 Pairs) turns out to be one cent per pair. Far cheaper than any others I have ever used, I have no regrets for tossing a pair and grabbing a new pair, which is a significant factor to reduce the risk of ear infections. They come packaged as two in a small plastic bag, making carrying clean pairs around in a purse or briefcase exceptionally easy. The plugs seem to be of a different foam than the others I have used. All the foam earplug brands have the same instructions - roll them to a thin point, insert, and give them time to expand. That is where the similarities end. When I insert these and wait, I can distinguish the noise fading away. When I pull them out, I sometimes get a "pop" which I never experienced with other plugs. There is a strong degree of difference in the noise-muffling from these plugs. I can still hear significant noise like child screams or yells and dog barks, which is a good safety point. However, the cushioning and filtering of noise is exceptional. I highly recommend these earplugs!

Extremely happy with these plugs. I sleep with ear plugs most nights and also use them regularly on a motorcycle. Very surprised to hear other reviewers talk about losing seal or form after a few uses. I have used pairs of these daily for 7+ days and have experienced zero issues with loss of shape, form or function. I usually toss the pair when it gets a bit too dirty. I paid less than $20 for 200 pairs, which easily lasts me a few years. As far as noise blocking, they are great for blocking noise during sleep. Basic but effective
I'm about halfway through the box of these that I purchased a few months ago. I've been using them as my exclusive method of protecting my hearing, and frequently give them away to others. As a college student, I have plenty of reasons to deprive myself of my second most useful sense. I've used them at very loud bars, concerts (both professional and house-show style), and at night to quiet my noisy housemates without confrontation. I keep a few pairs in each one of my coats as well as my car. I have yet to use them around power tools or guns, but I plan to update this review when I get the chance. Here's the breakdown:Pros:-they plug ears-the sound that gets through seems sufficiently dampened-cost effective-good way to make friends at concertsCons:-The foam "pressure" is pretty high for foam earplugs, they feel very tight in my ears, especially compared to Howard Leight earplugs. This cost them half a star-They frequently fall out when I'm sleeping. I have not had this problem with any other brand, and it seems weird considering how tight they are. This also cost them half a star.Bottom Line:They work, they're cheap, and there are a whole lot of them. If you're looking to buy these for just yourself, I would recommend some higher quality, corded, reusable ear plugs. Otherwise, they're definitely the most expedient way to protect the hearing of yourself and others.

Excellent earplugs (from someone who is sensitive to noise)
I've slept with earplugs for the last 20 years, starting from the night I was in a German youth hostel in a room with ~30 beds; the snoring was UNBELIEVABLE. I discovered that with a good pair of earplugs, I could sleep through absolutely any noise at all. In the intervening years, I've come to be a pretty good judge of what kind of earplugs are actually usable, and these are among the best that I've ever tried. They block sound as well as the best, and they are long enough that they won't disappear into your ear, but short enough that they won't stick out and be uncomfortable if you like to sleep on your side. The only drawback--and it's a very minor one--is that despite coming in the box, they are also individually plastic-wrapped in pairs, leading to more packaging waste. On the other hand, the individual packaging keeps them from going bad over time from exposure to air, and also keeps them together for tossing a few into a suitcase for travelling. Highly recommended for anyone who goes through a lot of earplugs.

Incredibly effective and reusable
These earplugs were a chance find. I was looking for the highest noise protection I could find for my husband's daily motorcycle commute. The Hearos brand works well, but they were expensive and lost their shape after one insertion, so he needed a minimum of two pairs a day to get to and from work. The DuraPlugs on the other hand are much more robust and can be reused effectively as they regain their shape within a couple of minutes once you take them out. So you can use the same pair all day, popping them in and out as needed. I'm sure this would be helpful if you were working on a shop floor or something as well. At around $20 for a box of 200 pairs I can afford for them to be one-use, but we generally get at least a full day's use out of them. I have a pair that I use at home when I need to sleep during the day. I am able to reuse them many times before I need to toss them. They do a great job blocking sound. Husband loves them for use on the bike, and they block out the sound of kids playing and the neighbors mowing when I have to sleep during the day. These are a huge winner! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Doesn't cut out the sound well
Night 2: The prep of blocking out sound with these is to twist tightly the entire ear plug. They do well after that, unless they have to be readjusted. But I find they need to be twisted tightly, almost too tightly. And literally stuffed into the ear canal sometimes three times. Trust me my house is noisy and if these are rolled thin enough, they work lots of prep though. I always need ear plugs but these still are kind of suckie. Stuffing them into the ear can't be a good thing. They.are just narrow. I will keep them, though. Maybe I will lose a few pair when I travel. They would also be a good gift for a Highschool graduate.I have used ear plugs to sleep since I discovered I can't sleep at all without them. I found these and ordered. My furnace sounds like a lion attack when it turns on and I need good ear plugs. I always bought 20 pair of 3m for about 11$ at the hardware store. I found these and ordered them. They are more narrow than the 3M brand orange ear plugs. I had to readjust them several times. I went to bed and still heard the furnace. I readjusted them again and at this point, I will say 32db? No. I won't be buying these again. But, they slightly cut out the noise. I still heard my 26 year old come home from work. With 3M or Leight Max brand, I don't. So I heard the furnace again, got on Amazon, and ordered a box if 200 of Leight Mac which I will correct this later. There is no way these ear plugs are 32db. I have slept with ear plugs for years and these are slightly unimpressive. Probably better for loud concerts but not for sleeping.

Standard orange expanding foam, works well
These are pretty much your standard orange foam expanding earplugs -- nothing unexpected at all. I've used them for a variety of loud activities and they do a good job at dulling the noise to safe levels. The individual packages within are easy to tear open with gloves on which is an added bonus.As a side note for overly frugal people, a number of these accidentally end up going through the washer and dryer in the pockets of my work pants instead of being disposed of. I find they are almost always reusable afterwards. These are inexpensive enough to where I've never felt the need to wash & reuse but have tried some washed pairs and never been disappointed.

I don’t use these as my primary ear protection. I have several pairs of the earmuffs type but I shoot a lot indoors and with the sound bouncing around the walls you really need back up for any over the head ear protection.My range sells these exact brand for a buck a pair so I think these work out excellently at $.10 per pair. And even wearing these and a good set of Peltors, sometimes it still gets a little loud for my taste. But it’s much better than just with the headset alone.These are cheap and convenient so I always carry several pairs if I find myself at a concert or firework show or anywhere else they’re loud noises it’s very handy to be able to put these in. It also helps if you’re trying to sleep and the neighbors dogs won’t shut up.You can even reuse these but I wouldn’t really reuse them for shooting. I think they’re only good one time for critical usage as the foam seems to lose some of its resiliency. But they’ll still work for mowing the lawn or taking a nap several times after the first use.

Much better options available
I sleep with earplugs in every night, as I'm very sensitive to noise, so I tend to buy them in bulk. I figured that they were pretty much the same no matter the brand, so when I saw that these were a few dollars cheaper than the last ones I bought, I thought I'd found a new preference. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed in these, for several reasons:1. They don't last very long. I'm used to being able to use the same pair of ear plugs for at least 3-5 days. After that, the foam stops holding its shape, making the plugs difficult to insert. These, however, started getting "squishy" after just one night.2. The exterior is slick rather than matte or textured. This means any type of lubrication, be it natural skin oil, water, sweat, whatever, makes the plugs lose their grip and start to slide out.3. They don't have a flared base. I find that flared plugs are both easier to remove and do a better job of blocking out sound. These are tapered evenly along their length with no flare.4. The individual packages are difficult to open. Other bulk plugs I've purchased have either been loose (just a bunch of individual plugs thrown into a plastic jug) or have, like these, been packaged in pairs in little plastic bags. Unlike other earplugs I've purchased, however, the bags require cutting or stretching & ripping to open, which is really annoying. My favorite solution to this has been microperforations along one edge of the bag, making it easy to just tear off one side and shake the earplugs out.5. Most importantly, they aren't as good at blocking out sound as other plugs I've used. They claim the same level of noise reduction (32 dB) but my personal experience disagrees with that. I find that many noises that never bother me with other earplugs can be heard quite clearly through these, no matter how deeply nestled in my ear canal.In fact, I disliked these so much that I ordered a bulk box of a different brand within a week. I highly recommend the "Howard Leight by Honeywell MAX Disposable Foam Earplugs" that can be found in 200 pair boxes on Amazon instead. I've yet to find any earplugs with a better quality/cost ratio.
