This compact USB rechargeable device tracks O2, CO, H2S, and LEL levels. The sensor types include electrochemical for CO, H2S, and O2, while the catalytic sensor is for EX LEL. Its lifespan is approximately two to three years, with a recommendation to recalibrate every 12 months. According to the guidelines, it measures oxygen levels from 0 to 30% with a resolution of 0.1%, carbon monoxide from 0 to 999 parts per million, hydrogen sulfide from 0 to 100 parts per million, and combustible gases or LEL from 0 to 100% with a 1% resolution. When a preset level is reached, the selected audio, visual, or vibrating alarm will activate. I appreciate that it fits comfortably in hand and has a secure grip, along with a sturdy clip to attach it to your clothing. It charges via a magnetic charger, which I find effective, as it seems to be a popular choice among newer devices. I'm unsure why magnetic charging is favored over USB-C charging. If you need to recharge this device in the field, you must carry the magnetic cord, as a portable C charger won't work. I purchased this for home use since my grandson and son operate a forge in my garage, and during winter, they often forget to open the windows or garage door. When powered on, it displays an oxygen level of 20.9% (dry air at sea level contains about 20.95% oxygen by volume, with the rest primarily nitrogen (78.08%) and trace amounts of argon and carbon dioxide). The instructions detail how to recalibrate the device, which also comes with a hard case. If you order this without prior knowledge, reading the instructions and checking online resources will help you understand it better.

A good portable unit
The build quality appears to be fairly rugged, and also comes in a rugged case as well. I believe both the case and unit would survive a drop for a regular standing height just fine if it happened, though I didn't test that. The unit is fairly compact and easy to carry around for measurement. It comes pre-calibrated as well, with a calibration certificate, and has instructions if recalibration is needed.The display is easy to read, and the sensitivity lets it update fast to changes in gas readings. I'm not sure if the price is particularly good, as I haven't purchased one of these before. The only real drawback I've found is that it charges using a proprietary cable. Not sure how easy or difficult it would be to get a replacement if lost.
