Editorial assessment by Steven Eaton, WC Safety editor, based on published KleenGuard specifications and category fit. We did not laboratory-test this product.

The KleenGuard Nemesis V30 is a wraparound sport-style safety glass with a polycarbonate lens, certified ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact, offered in eighteen lens and frame variants spanning clear, anti-fog, polarized, mirrored, shade-tinted, and camo options — impact eye protection, not a chemical-splash goggle.

Why the KleenGuard Nemesis V30 covers a whole mixed crew

A site with indoor grinders next to outdoor roofers usually means stocking several safety-glass models for different light. The V30 collapses that: one wraparound sport frame, ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact rated, offered in eighteen lens and frame variants — clear and anti-fog for indoors, gray, smoke mirror, and polarized for bright sun, amber for contrast, indoor/outdoor for transitional work, plus camo and colored frames. Stock one model number and cover the crew. As safety glasses go, this is the widest-range wraparound pick, and the best safety glasses guide and the ANSI Z87.1 guide explain the markings. It is one model for many jobs.

Safety first: the V30 is impact eye protection — it is not a sealed barrier for a chemical splash hazard. A wraparound glass covers flying particles, not liquid splash; for chemical splash, wear D3-rated splash goggles or a face shield over your primary eyewear. The Shade 3 and Shade 5 lens options are light shades for cutting and brazing — never for arc welding — so confirm the shade on the listing and match the lens tint to the light. See the glasses vs goggles guide.

What the KleenGuard Nemesis V30 listing documents

From the published specs: an ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact wraparound sport glass; a polycarbonate lens; eighteen variants across clear, amber, gray, smoke mirror, blue mirror, indoor/outdoor, bronze, polarized, and Shade 3/Shade 5; frame options in black, camo, gray/red, and clear; and standard, anti-fog, and polarized coatings, with OTG marked No. These are true wraparound safety glasses and z87 safety glasses credentials in a multi-tint safety glasses model. Confirm the specific variant on the listing.

How the KleenGuard Nemesis V30 compares to other eye protection

For a rimless KleenGuard with a 3-point fit, the KleenGuard Nemesis VL; for a ratchet-temple wraparound, the Uvex Genesis; for a Z87+ and ballistic glass, the Pyramex Venture II; for a frameless budget glass, the Pyramex Ztek; and for a sealed splash goggle, the DeWalt DPG82 Concealer. The safety glasses buyer's guide covers the range.

Choosing the right lens and eye protection

Match the lens tint and coating to the light and task. Browse the eye protection and anti-fog safety glasses collections; for tint choices, the clear vs smoke guide and the amber vs clear guide; and for the polarized option, the polarized vs non-polarized guide.

Where it fits by job and crew orders

The V30 suits mixed crews across construction, manufacturing, and outdoor work who want one stocked model for many lighting conditions — see the construction eyewear guide and the outdoor eyewear guide; for coatings, compare the anti-fog vs anti-scratch guide. Confirm the variant on the listing and retire the glasses when the lens is damaged. Reading the Z87 marking, and what it does not cover

Protective eyewear in the US is built to ANSI/ISEA Z87.1, and OSHA 1910.133 requires eye protection that meets it. The marking on the frame is the specification, and the important distinction is a single character: Z87 is basic impact, Z87+ is high impact — tested with a quarter-inch steel ball at 150 ft/s for spectacles. If the work throws anything, Z87+ is the line.

The suffixes narrow it further: D3 is splash and droplet, D4 dust, D5 fine dust. These matter because a spectacle cannot earn D3 — droplet protection needs a sealed goggle. Safety glasses are impact protection, not chemical splash protection, however wraparound the lens looks, and substituting one for the other is a common and consequential error.

A face shield is also secondary protection under 1910.133: it is worn over primary eye protection, never instead of it. And tint is not shade — a dark lens without a stated IR/UV shade number offers no rated protection against radiant energy.

Frequently asked questions

What is the KleenGuard Nemesis V30?

A wraparound sport-style safety glass with a polycarbonate lens, certified ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact. It is offered in eighteen lens and frame variants, more than any other single model in the lineup.

What does Z87.1+ mean?

Z87.1+ is the high-impact rating under ANSI/ISEA Z87.1, meaning the lens passes the high-mass and high-velocity impact tests required for regulated industrial and construction eye protection, as the listing states.

Why so many variants?

The V30 spans clear, amber, gray, smoke mirror, blue mirror, indoor/outdoor, bronze, polarized, and shade-tinted lenses across black, camo, gray/red, and clear frames - designed so one model can cover a mixed crew with different lighting needs.

Are these chemical splash goggles?

No - the V30 is a wraparound safety glass, not a sealed goggle. For a chemical splash hazard, use D3-rated splash goggles or a face shield over your primary eyewear.

What are the Shade 3 and Shade 5 variants for?

The listing offers Shade 3 and Shade 5 lens options for light cutting and brazing tasks; these are light shades, not welding-arc shades, so confirm the shade matches your task and never use them for arc welding.

Are anti-fog and polarized options available?

Yes - the listing lists standard, anti-fog, and polarized coatings across the variant range; confirm the specific coating on the variant you select.

Does it fit over prescription glasses?

The listing marks OTG as No, so the V30 is not designed to be worn over prescription glasses; choose an OTG frame or goggle if you need to wear it over eyewear.

Which lens tint should I choose?

Clear for indoor and low-light, gray or smoke mirror for bright sun, amber for contrast, and indoor/outdoor for transitional work. The lens comparison guides cover the trade-offs.

Is it a good choice for a mixed crew?

Yes - the listing frames the V30 as the model to stock when buying for a mixed crew, since one model number covers indoor grinders and outdoor roofers alike.

What sizes are available?

The wraparound sport frame suits a range of face sizes; confirm any fit options on the product listing.

How do I care for them?

Clean with lens-safe wipes or mild soap and water, avoid abrasive cloths, and retire the glasses when the lens is scratched enough to impair vision, since damaged eyewear no longer protects as rated.

How do I order for a crew?

Quantity purchasing runs through a free Amazon Business account - volume pricing, PO numbers at checkout, and tax-exempt eligibility for qualifying organizations. The bulk-ordering walkthrough is linked in our site footer.

Paid for 12 Pairs, and only received 1 Pair.
Kleenguard makes a Great Product. The Selling Company only shipped 1 pair when the product description clearly showed it was for a 12 Pairs Pack. AND I tried twice, and they messed up both orders. Why would anyone pay over $50 for one pair???

The silver frame seems more flexible.
Great fit for my big noggen. Use these everyday at work and on the weekend at play. Fairly scratch resistant, light weight and comfortable.

Alright Sunglasses
Was okay. Still had the good Nemesis Brand but wasn't happy with the shade of the glasses. Fit my face well and did good but the shade wasn't as protective as I like.

Ehh there alright but disappointed
They foged up the first time I used them but other than the fogging up issues they are good durable safety glasses.

Anti-Fog Doesn't Last
I've been buying Nemesis safety glasses for years, they're great and I'll keep buying... just not the anti-fog. After wiping off sweat a couple times the anti fog coating is gone. You're better off buying and anti fog solution and applying it to regular Nemesis glasses.
