EDITORIAL REVIEW β€” VEVOR Manual Lever Chain Hoist, 1 Ton 2200 LBS Capacity Heavy Duty Come Along, 10 FT

Assessed on the standards the product is actually certified to and on how the format fits a working shift, by Steven Eaton, WC Safety editor.

Amazon customer rating: 4.3 / 5 - WC Safety review of the VEVOR Manual Lever Chain Hoist, 1 Ton 2200 LBS Capacity Heavy Duty Come Along, 10 FT.
Written by Steven Eaton, WC Safety Editorial, from the published VEVOR listing. The score above is the live Amazon customer rating captured at review time - not a WC Safety test result. We did not laboratory-test this product.

The VEVOR Manual Lever Chain Hoist, 1 Ton 2200 LBS Capacity Heavy Duty Come Along, 10 FT is one of our picks for the hoist lineup. Everything below comes straight from the manufacturer's published listing - specs, capacities, and dimensions are theirs, not ours.

Chain hoists, lever hoists and come-alongs are rated in working load limit - the number on the housing is the ceiling, and standard rigging practice (ASME B30 series) means never lifting over people, inspecting chain and hooks before each use, and retiring anything with a stretched link or sprung latch. Tie-down straps are not lifting gear; use rated slings.

Key details, quoted from the manufacturer's published listing:

  • 1T Max Load: This manual lever hoist features an all-steel construction that resists-impact and breakage, allowing one person to effortlessly move loads up to 1T / 2200 lbs. Ideal for dragging fallen trees, lifting steel beams, machinery, engine parts
  • Easy Operation: Our lever chain hoist includes a 360Β° rotating ergonomic handle with non-slip grip. Heavy loads can be shifted with minimal effort, for confined work areas. A three-position selector can switch between lifting, neutral, and lowering modes
  • Secure and Reliable Braking: This manual chain hoist features Weston dual pawl brake engaged with gears for precise control. Strong build avoids slipping and sudden drops, evenly spreads pressure, boosting security and extending service life
  • G80 Industrial-Grade Chain: The chain hoist comes with 10 ft/3 m G80 alloy chain, 6 mm thick, galvanized for corrosion-resistance. Strong and sturdy for harsh work, ensuring reliable lifting in construction, warehouses, and industrial tasks
  • Smooth Operation: This chain fall hoist includes an upgraded guided slot for smooth lifting without jamming. 360Β° swivel hook allows secure multi-angle use, avoiding twisting and increasing efficiency for tough lifting applications

vevor manual lever chain hoist β€” what the listing actually specifies

What to check before you buy

On lifting and load-moving equipment the rated capacity is the control. Match the published capacity to the heaviest load you will actually move, never exceed it, and keep everyone clear of the load path while it is moving. Inspect hooks, chain, forks and hydraulics before use; take anything with a deformed hook, stretched chain or leaking ram out of service rather than repairing it in place.

Working load limit and hitch type
A sling's rated capacity changes with the hitch. Vertical, choker and basket hitches all carry different ratings for the same sling - read the tag, not the catalog headline.
Sling angle
As the angle between the sling leg and the horizontal drops, tension in each leg rises sharply. A 30 degrees angle roughly doubles leg tension compared with a vertical lift.
D/d ratio
Bending a sling around a small-diameter object cuts its capacity. Manufacturers publish a D/d derating; sharp corners need softeners regardless.
Tag legibility
Under ASME B30.9 a sling with a missing or illegible identification tag is removed from service. There is no field workaround.
