Cactus transplanting is great again
Prickly pear cactus transplanting is possible with these gloves that protect your hands and fingers. Not too hot and quite comfortable to use. Although they are a bit pricey, they are of great quality, durable and totally worth it to not have to pull prickers out of my man’s hands after he’s done working with our AZ cacti collection. These are a MUST if you have rose bushes or cacti. Yes, a few prickers did get through but they were negligible compared to the ones it kept out. A great gift for a desert gardener you truly care about.

Pretty effective but more coverage is welcome
I was putting off repotting several cacti because it is tedious wrapping everything in cardboard.I got these to try and they honestly work very well. My one complaint is the puncture-resistant super fabric does not go between the fingers. The material between the fingers is very puncturable and breathable, so don't spread your fingers at all.Using cardboard plus these is probably a sure-fire way to avoid any pricks at all, but I only had to stop for one spine yesterday.

Exactly as advertised. No penetration. I can still bend fingers. YES the back of the had is only thick leather so less protected, but a simpe rub by or pass by cacti thorn did not get through and so you are not squeaxing with the back of your hand or the back of your f8nger/thumb, so works just as you would HOPE.IF yiu are using to reach into a heavy foilage bush of roses, sure it might be an issue, but still probably your aems and wrist more.than the back of your hand. These should be for close quarter cacti or thirn bushes pruning or grabbing. For deep reaches get the gloces that go up your arm a d protect your sleeve.

These are awesome! They WORK!!! I have 160 acres that is heavily infested with honey locust trees and the thorns on those things are insane. I've tried several other brands of gloves and these are the ONLY ones that keep the thorns from penetrating. One note. only the bottom (palm side) of the gloves are thorn proof. Top side is mesh but as long as you're careful, these are still fantastic. I actually appreciate the mesh side, especially during the brutally hot days of summer here in Texas so it makes them comfortable even during the hottest days.

Protects half your hand
The gloves feel quite stiff like wearing spacesuit gloves, however I was able to use gardening tools without too much effort. The black coating on the palms and under fingers is quite protective, but the fabric back of the hands and fingers surprisingly offers less protection from thorns than everyday leather work gloves. I had to be exceedingly careful clearing thorny vines, which kept wrapping around the back of my hands and embedding my skin through the thin fabric. Disappointing particularly at this high price.

They are great. I use them to pull out wild roses by the roots. I just cleared all the old dead stock from my ancient rosa rugosa bush without a single poke!
