Readout is a great feature to check if there ever was any CO High marks on consumer reports
Bought open box return, it was old and at end of life when i put in the battery. Flashed END... someone bought a new one and returned their old one. I got a refund no problems. Then picked up a new one and it works great! I like the readout that shows if there was any CO present in the history.I did get it someplace else. and liked the reviews on consumer reports, 80 out of 100. the better ones were linkable and / or plug in.

Uses regular batteries and has a Peak CO level indicator
This unit is easy to use and utilizes regular batteries (many nowadays do not). This comes with a Peak CO Level Indicator, which I like because you can check it to see if you have any CO registering at all (I never have), which is better than waiting until you have enough to set off an alarm, which is very bad.

If you ONLY want to know when you have a dangerous level of CO, then this is the one for you.
So I originally bought this SAME exact CO detector/alarm from Amazon back in December 2017. (The little Amazon tag came up telling me when I last purchased it.) I am still using it. It is actually sitting on the chest of drawers in one of my bedrooms. It appears to be working well. I haven't needed to change the batteries yet (in almost 2 years), and it has never alarmed. But I want to share something I learned after purchasing 4 different "retail" CO detector/alarms (so that I had different ones if one didn't work as it was designed). All of these "retail" alarms readily available at most retail brick and mortar stores and online stores (like Amazon), only alarm you once levels are dangerously high (like you need to evacuate the house now, high). They do not show you if you have low levels of CO over many months (which is equally dangerous as ONE high instance). They will again only alarm once it is at the dangerous level.I am NOT saying NOT to get these. Because obviously having a CO alarm is definitely needed ... and this is better than no CO alarm at all. Instead, I am saying if you are looking for a device that MONITORS and displays CO levels as low as 5ppm (versus the 30ppm), I highly recommend the Defender LL6070 Low Level Carbon Monoxide Monitor-Alarm.Because we have older gas heaters, I purchased 2 of the Defender LL6070 Low Level Carbon Monoxide Monitor-Alarms (each one mounted in a hallway close to the heating units). They are significantly more expensive (@ $160/each) and they only have about a 3-year life. However, for those with compromised immune systems, babies, seniors, other health issues, and pets, it is important to know if you have a low-level CO leak. Exposure to low levels of CO over time is also very dangerous. I was told some times when older heating units start to fail, they can start leaking CO. In any case, I feel better having the Defender LL6070 Low Level Carbon Monoxide Monitor-Alarms. I also still have all of the "retail" alarms in each of the bedrooms, because they do serve an important function. I just thought it was important to know that these "retail" devices are only high level CO alarms ... not low level CO monitors.

Perfect direct replacement for the older style battery operated First Alert CO400
If you like me had the older style front AA battery replaceable CO400 unit from First Alert, this new version of the CO410 with the display is a direct replacement and also uses AA batteries.First Alert made a change on the current gen CO400 models, they moved the battery compartment to the back with a 9V battery and in the process, they increased the spacing on the hooks for hanging it on the wall. I already had the holes mounted from the previous unit so I needed something that would be a direct fit replacement. This display version of the CO410 is a direct fit. It was built in July 2019, so it should last me about 7 years before it starts beeping. One hopes they will make a similiar direct-replacement unit at that time frame. The display helps show how much CO is in the air, and ideally you have no CO problems, but it is nice to know that you get a digital reading.

Arrived Quickly & Works Great
This CO410 carbon monoxide detector arrived quickly after the same model detector gave its EOL (end of life) warning after 9+ years of service. This model was an exact replacement of the old one, so no remounting was required. It also had a very recent date of manufacture hopefully allowing me to get even closer to the advertised life span of 10 years. I like this detector because it stores the peak CO level it measures which could help indicate an intermittent combustion problem in the house.

Easy to set up.
This carbon monoxide detector was a replacement for the exact same model. I liked the first one and was happy to replace it with the same model. Easy to set up, easy to replace batteries. No complaints and feel safer with a monoxide warning set up in the house. (I wish my smoke detectors lasted as long as they are suppose too and were as easy to set up and use)

Purchase for tiny house. It works!
I live in 160 sqft off-grid tiny house. I just recently purchased this unit as I knew I needed one. Last night I was burning a 3-wick candle that I had blown out right before going to bed as I often do. I crawled up into the loft and just as I started falling asleep this unit went off. I knew it was from the candle as I didnt have my heat turned on so I silenced the unit and opened the loft window. Once cleared I closed the window, went back to sleep and slept peacefully the rest of the night. The unit may be a bit on the sensitive side but I dont mind. I'm very happy I made the purchase!
