EDITORIAL REVIEW: 4.6/5 — WC Safety Review of the 3M SecureFit, the self-adjusting wraparound that fits a whole crew.
Editorial assessment by the WC Safety Editorial Team, based on published 3M specifications and category fit. We did not laboratory-test this product.

The 3M SecureFit solves the one-size-fits-nobody problem with 3M Pressure-Diffusion Temple (PDT) technology that self-adjusts to different head sizes — the one 3M safety glass here that fits a diverse workforce without individual sizing. It's rated ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact, with 3M Scotchgard Anti-Fog on Clear and Gray (anti-scratch on Indoor/Outdoor), and offers foam-gasket and Clear Bifocal reader options.

Why the 3M SecureFit fits a whole crew

A crew is a range of head shapes, and a fixed-fit frame that suits some wearers pinches or slides on others — so they push it up and work unprotected. The SecureFit's Pressure-Diffusion Temples flex and spread pressure to fit small and large heads alike, so one model sits right on nearly everyone. That simplifies stocking to a single SKU and raises the odds each worker wears it correctly, with Scotchgard Anti-Fog and gasket or bifocal options on top. Our full 3M SecureFit review rates it 4.6/5, and the safety glasses buyer's guide covers how fit drives compliance.

Safety first: a well-fitting frame protects better because it stays seated — but the SecureFit is impact-and-debris protection, not a sealed goggle. Even with the foam gasket it is not D3-rated against a chemical splash hazard, fine mist, or vapor, which require a D3 splash goggle or a face shield per your hazard assessment. Match the tint to the light too. Choose eyewear against measured hazards with the when-do-you-need-safety-glasses guide.

What the listing documents

From the published specs: ANSI/ISEA Z87.1+ high-impact rating; a wraparound frame with Pressure-Diffusion Temples (PDT) that self-adjust to head size; Scotchgard Anti-Fog on Clear and Gray, anti-scratch on Indoor/Outdoor; foam-gasket and Clear Bifocal options; base model SF401AF. As 3m safety glasses go, the SecureFit is the fit member — a genuine self adjusting safety glasses design and a true anti fog safety glasses on its Clear and Gray variants.

Choosing your SecureFit variant

Match the tint to the light: Clear from the clear-lens collection for indoor work, Gray for outdoor glare, and Indoor/Outdoor for shifting light from the I/O collection. The clear-vs-smoke lens guide settles the outdoor call, and the Scotchgard Anti-Fog variants pair with the anti-fog guide and anti-fog collection. For dusty work, add a foam-gasket variant or see the foam-lined collection.

Where the SecureFit sits in the 3M line

The 3M line splits by feature: this SecureFit is the self-adjusting fit frame, the budget Virtua AP is the bulk-buy, the Virtua CCS adds a built-in cord, and the premium Solus 1000 brings a sculpted anti-fog frame with an optional gasket. Browse the full 3M safety glasses collection, and the best safety glasses 2026 roundup places the line against other brands.

Where it fits by job and crew orders

Self-adjusting fit suits shared-pool eyewear and mixed crews across trades — the construction, manufacturing, and mechanics guides rank frames by task, and smaller-faced wearers should check the small-face guide and women's fit guide since the PDT temples help across sizes. Where the hazard exceeds impact — splash, dust, vapor — step to a sealed goggle from the safety goggles collection or the broader eye protection collection. Good cover for that outside work
Nice fit on the face if using a sprayer. My use is spraying bleach and water on the vinyl fence for mold, or vinegar on weeds. Would also be good for weed whacking.

Fits Good Not Perfect
These fit as good as the non-foamed type that are just like them. The fit is not perfect enough for very dusty work. You would need dust goggles for that. But good enough to keep most flyaway particles out of your eyes. I have not tried them on a hot sunny day for a fog test yet - can't say. They are made just as sturdy as the standard style.

Not for "comprehensive" eye protection
First of all, I like these glasses because they're a perfect fit for my use case: namely protecting my eyes when I'm spraying cleaners or insect repellants, and keeping the dust out of my eyes when dremeling my dog's nails. The glasses are lightweight and very comfortable. The material feels a little bit cheap. These aren't going to stand up to anything even medium-duty.They don't have a "seal". When I put them on, there are gaps near my temples and brows. If that won't work for your use case, then you'll have to look elsewhere. Also, there's a part of the glasses with heavy blur and distortion. It's a super small area concentrated around the center of your vision. It's only obvious when you bend your head or look a certain way.Overall, I do like the glasses because they're a great value for my use case. But I can't see them being used in a lot of professional contexts, for example. Just know what your use case is and you should be fine whatever you decide.

Best safety glasses!
Great safety glasses and highly recommend! I have bad allergies and use them for cutting grass and nothing gets in them! I love them and will now not ever cut grass without them! The lenses are clear and very easy to clean! Worth the money and have had no issues! You can also use them for cutting wood etc!

Just ok, but not a price to try again.
Not the best value for money. A bit flimsy and they don’t fold down great. They are very lightweight though. I am curious if the venting foam will prevent debris intrusion while allowing moisture out. They are not the best fit but they are good enough and so lightweight I think wearing them for long periods could be good. For that price though, I will not be purchasing again. I’ll try something else.

Extremely light, comfortable, good anti-fogging
I own six pairs of cheap safety glasses and these are by far my favorite. These glasses are extremely light plastic, with curved, flexible arms that hold well via tension even if not resting on the ears. The arms are shorter than most glasses but still hold well, which makes them very easy to store in a work-shirt pocket. The foam padding works great at eliminating fogging — when wearing a valves NIOSH N95 I get no fogging at all regardless of temperature/humidity. I get very little fogging with an un-valved N95 too. With a loose-fitting surgical mask fogging is still noticeable, but for me this is unavoidable with any style of safety glasses and usually much worse.

Poor/unsafe fitment
Needs about 1\8 inch more curve and maybe it'll fit close enough to your eyes for the gasket to do something. As it is it's further away from my eyes than all the 3M pairs I've used without the gasket. The arms to your ears are super flimsy as well, they have no squeeze on my head at all and they slide off my face with no effort. They look kinda cool and are super light wight which is nice but I'd rather have a pair that stays on my head.

Highly recommend
strong, sturdy, light, safety glass and extremely comfortable to wear, and Im not a glass wearing person. I could wear these literally all day and it would not bother my face.

There's better options
They protect just fine but they get scratched so quickly and are very sweat provoking during summer months

Good protection but light duty
These glasses fit good and provide protection but im shocked at how flimsy they are to be a 3m product. I got these to use when im running a weedeater and the dont fog but I dont think they will hold up to this kind of work. To be fair I have only used them once so time will tell.
