The Trekassy 4ft E Track Tie-Down Rail Kit for Garages, Vans, Trailers, Motorcycle Tie Downs is one of our picks for the tie-down lineup. Everything below comes straight from the manufacturer's published listing - specs, capacities, and dimensions are theirs, not ours.
Working load limit - not break strength - is the number that matters when securing cargo: WLL is conventionally about one-third of the rated break strength β an industry convention rather than a ratio set in the regulation β and under 49 CFR 393.106 the aggregate working load limit of the tie-downs must be at least half the weight of the article being secured. Inspect the rail and fittings for deformation, and inspect the webbing of any strap used with them for cuts and UV fray, before every use.
Key details, quoted from the manufacturer's published listing:
- E Track and Accessories Set: 4 Pack 4' horizontal e track rails + 8 Pack of 2 E-track O rings+ 8 Rope Tie Offs, combo kit much more valuable than buying separately
- STRONG and HEAVY DUTY: E-Track Rail: 4,500Lbs Breaking strength + 2,000Lbs Working load. E-Track O-Ring Anchors: 4,500Lbs Breaking strength + 1,500Lbs Working load for each. Safety secure your cargo and loads
- UNIVERSAL and FLEXIBLE: The E-Track tie-down rail kits are universal, great for trailers enclosed box trucks, cargo vans, flatbed, RVs, warehouses, garages. Also a great tie-down system for ATV, UTV, and motorcycles
- Solid and Long Service Life: Both E-Track Tie-Down Rail and trailer accessories are made out of Galvanize SOLID STEEL for ultimate weather-resistant, rust- and corrosion-resistance, strong enough for both indoor and outdoor use
- EASY TO INSTALL: Simply mount the e track rail on your trailer wall or floor, press the lever on the spring fitting end attachments, then insert the fittings into the slots to create a secure tie down track system for ATV, UTV, car, or motorcycle wheels

What to check before you buy
Buy to the published rating, not the headline. Check the manufacturer's stated capacity, dimensions and materials against the job you actually do, and treat any listing that will not publish its numbers as a reason to keep looking.
- Working load limit, not break strength
- The WLL is the number that matters. Break strength is the point of failure in a lab; the WLL is what the assembly is rated to hold in service, typically a third of break strength.
- Assembly rating is the weakest part
- A strap is only rated as high as its lowest-rated component - webbing, ratchet or end fitting. Replacing a hook with a stronger one does not raise the assembly rating.
- Webbing condition
- Cuts, abrasion, chemical damage and UV degradation all remove capacity that is not visible as a number. Damaged webbing is removed from service, not derated.
- Number of tie-downs
- Cargo securement rules are based on aggregate working load limit relative to cargo weight, plus minimum counts by cargo length - not on what looks tight enough.
