Low Level CO Detection is a game changer !!
I had to add CO detectors to my home and came across this from Kidde. I have a particular fondness for this brand because of the products excellent reputation. I liked the fact that this is a 10-Year sealed battery. I don't have to work about changing a battery periodically because of annoying chirps. Downside is that the entire detector will have to be replaced in 10 years. I especially liked the fact that this particular detector has a low level detection. This advanced notification will give me a better chance of surviving an incident in my opinion. I also liked the fact that this detector has a visual display. I fond this useful during testing. I found the alarm to be loud which is also a must have feature. The detector is smaller than the traditional ones and can be installed on any wall. I do wish the install was different and that it also allowed for installation to the ceiling. its obviously too early to tell if the battery life will last 10 years but the brand does have a reputation for reliability which gives me the peace of mind I am looking for. The detector is easy to use. Simply active the switch on the back, install the mounting screws at the distance described and attach the detector.
