Is a CPR mask a respirator?

No. It's a rescue-breathing barrier for giving breaths to a victim, not respiratory protective equipment for the rescuer. If your hazard is airborne — dust, gas or vapor — that needs a respirator, which is a completely different device.

Is it latex-free?

That isn't confirmed for this set, so don't assume it. If the rescuer or victim may have a latex sensitivity, check the mask and included glove materials, and keep latex-free gloves on hand as an alternative.

How does the head strap help?
