The 3M 8271 P95 Disposable Respirator with Coo is a NIOSH-approved P95 disposable respirator that filters at least 95% of airborne particles, oil-proof. It is the industry-standard choice for sustained oil mist plus particulate. As a cup with an exhalation valve respirator, it is best where breathing heat is a concern. Sold multiple per pack.

Step changes by hazard: for maximum filtration a N95 covers most work, R95 adds oil resistance, and P100 gives oil-proof 99.97% filtration. For gases or vapors, no filtering facepiece will do — use a half mask respirator with cartridges.

Also good for sanding auto paint whether using hand or rotary ...
Most economical mask for sanding wood or cutting wood. Also good for sanding auto paint whether using hand or rotary sanders. It is not for PAINTING. For painting you need a 3M half face or full face and organic vapor cartridges and the trapezoid shaped pre filters and the 3M plastic clip on's to hold the trapezoid shaped pre-filters to the organic vapor cartridges. These are good for yard work and working in a dusty basement where ou kick up a lot of dust or using a leaf blower and vac as well as cutting dry grass which kicks up everything on the lawn. You will feel a lot better after using one and keep it on until you are totally finished with the work.

Good mask for people wearing glasses.
A great general mask for and grinding and drywall dust. It has a good foam seal all around. If you pinch the metal strip properly around your nose they don't fog up your glasses as with the cheep ones. I feel they are a bit pricey but I can use then several times if I take care of them.

Good product. A little bit pricey.
They work well, but tend to be a little warm around the foam, but the foam is why they work so well. We highly recommended these for dusty situations & people with compromised lungs to begin with. They really keep the dust out, which is probably why they are a bit pricey.

Great mask.
I work in a machine shop with oil mist. These masks are supposed to be changed daily but I use each mask for 40hrs. I haven't had an elastic strap break yet as I have had others do. I have no difficulty breathing with them on or wearing saftey glasses with them. The safety glasses fit slightly underneath the top portion of the mask and at times the glasses can fog if mask isn't fitting quite right. The mask does create blind spots so you have to be more alert to your surroundings, mostly objects near by on the floor. The exhaled air can be felt with your hand coming out the port valve. There may be something better out there for a better price but I haven't found it yet. At this time I recommend these. 6/5/15

Works to block chemicals but hate the rubber seal!!
I need for chemicals if helped to keeps fumes out however the rubber seal or whatever that is.. If you are active at work as you sweat broke me out so bad my face hurt so bad after a couple hours I had to take it off. By then had huge rash and looked like mask hickied my face. I mean ouch!! It took a few days to heal.

Comfortable fit
Nice build material. The mask itself is a little bit hard to put on your face, initially. The two elastic bands need to go over your head simultaneously. You need to take your glasses off before putting the mask on. Takes a bit of fiddling for all the right adjustment with metal nose clip. The filtration is excellent. It is easy to breath through. It is comfortable for long periods of wear. I would recommend and also purchase again.

Really good mask for bad bad pollen season
It took a while to get used to the work I had to do to inhale through the material, however, this is a very good mask. I live in the middle of Mustard Pollen Heaven right now. It was announced that this year was THE WORST pollen season in known history and nothing was alleviating allergy symptoms for sufferers. My problem is that I can't take antihistamines or nasal steroids. But as long as I wear this mask when I leave my home, I have been doing well based on how touchy my lungs are... which has been minimal. If it is hot outside, this mask will be hot. However, there is an excellent rubber seal, prevent hidden leaks.Update Halloween 2017: I did manage to live through Mustard Pollen Hell without having to resort to ANY steroids, inhalers, or nebulizer treatments but only by using this mask. This is a first for me. Surrounded by people coughing all over the place, I don't think I ever had a chance to wander outside without this mask on. This one is a keeper.Update Spring Equinox 2019: My most recent purchase of this product was very disappointing as well as down-right DANGEROUS. The venting system is not working after the first or second use. What happens? You are rebreathing the air within the mask, using up all the oxygen because it is now very difficult to get fresh air in because it is NOT venting. How do I know? First, I am not hearing the vent clicking when air is supposed to be venting out. Second, when I am feeling very lightheaded now while using this, my respiration rate was 30 per minute minimum, and my pulse ox was 73%!!! I'm a physician. I put people on a ventilator if they're doing this! It took me 90 seconds to go from 73% to 96% on room air once I removed the mask. Therefore this mask vent is not working. This is nothing like it was doing the first box I purchased. Unless they fix something, I hereby do NOT recommend buying this product. Somehow, an inferior version was sent to me, and I cannot risk hypoxia EVER.

Lower elastic band detaches --- defective batch?
Four Stars … for nowI've been buying these masks for 2 years and have been very pleased with their performance. However, in the last pack that I purchased, at least 5 of the 10 masks have been rendered useless because the lower elastic band detached when I removed the mask. The band didn't snap -- rather, it slipped out from underneath the staple that is supposed to keep it attached. This never happened to me before. Perhaps I received a defective batch.I am still going to buy these again because they have worked well in the past. Hopefully I will not have any more problems with the elastic band. I will update my review accordingly.
